9 to 10 mile loop with my Insight, air on in hot florida whether, I observed around 44/46 mpg. Not bad for City driving, and not being too very careful in how smoothly I drive either. Have not done any highway driving yet. Shorter driving distances without getting the engine warmed up is a mpg killer, over longer city or highway driving that will give one a better mpg ... Not bragging just a happy camper. I traded in my 2005 Honda Element EX AWD (which I very much liked but the warranty had run out) for a 2009 Fit Sport w/Navi when they first came out. I liked the Element so much over the years (not my first Honda) that I was a little worried I'd have regrets with the Fit. Glad to say I had none. The Fit got me 34 mpg with just short mountain ... Yes, Insights are very hard to get. I ordered mine in September 2005, and took delivery 30 March 2006. (The factory didn't begin manufacturing cars for the waiting list until December 2005.) Del Sol was biggest flop Honda made...

and you won't see a Del Sol version of the Insight. The Indsight has horrible sales and is still a money loser for Honda. 2005 is tha last year and it is special order only. Honda will be bringing a new smaller car next year (2006) named the Fit/Jazz to complete with the Scion and CE Corolla. There will also be a SI perfomance hatchback. Additionally there will also ...
