I bought the Fit based on the reviews (many of them raves) in the car mags. It was a tough step down from my 280 h.p. SUV to this slick looking little econobox. The test drive was good enough. Although it didn't really tell me much other than the Fit didn't have any pick up compared to what I was used to. It did feel solid though and it was very quiet with a really good a/c unit. Over the past few months it has proven to be super solid, often feeling like a much bigger car. But when it gets to 5K RPM it' s a whole new thing. It's really fast and agile. Super fun to drive and always self assured. The paddle shifters add to the feeling of connectedness. Plus a killer stereo to boot.
Comfortable seats, super solid, way more room than one can possibly expect in something so tiny. Handles like a champ, really good and predictable breaks. This car takes very little physical effort to drive and enjoy.
Quieter tires or more sound deadening material. Noisy pavement really makes itself known inside the car. Definitely could use steering wheel mounted stereo controls. Possibly another 1" or so of seat travel.
