I agree...it's a big SCAM. Plus when they say your monthly payment will be the same what they don't tell you is that you'll be making the monthly payment for a longer period of time. So you're payments for your 2010 may be done in 3 years, but if trade in and buy new you're paying for the next 5 years.
The dealership that I purchased my 2010 Honda Fit Sport from has some kind of trade in program because they claim they have high demand for used Fits and Civics, so they are offering to put me in a new Fit with the same or lower monthly payment. Hi, I've been researching winter tires for my 2010 Honda Fit Sport. My mechanic said the best thing to do would be to go to tirerack.com and buy tires and wheels, all mounted and balanced and set to go. Same problem as everyone else. My daughter's 20 month old, low mileage (~5,000) Fit was in for some safety recall work, and an oil change, which went smoothly enough, though after she got the car home she noticed a long crack on the passenger side of the windshield, starting from the edge. I agree, I had a '99 Saturn and wanted a 4 door so I bought a 2010 Honda Fit sport model, standard. Hello all, I am shopping around for a 2010 Base Model Fit with AT I actually dont plan on buying until the middle of December, when I move back to the USA, but I thought I would get a feel for what the market is like. This was the best offer so far: 2010 Honda Fit base model: selling price - 16,007.00 tax - 1296.57 registration - 283.50 doc fee - ... Read More
I plan to buy a Honda Fit (AT Sport without Navigation). I learned that because of the C4C program, there are very few 2009s left, and the 2010s just came in. I wish I could get an better deal with 2009, since traditionally, it would be easier to get a better deal with the year model that is going to fade out. But it seems difficult to get a good deal ... Love our new 2009 Fit, but wonder why cargo cover isn't standard. Agreed that it is a nickel-and-dime thing to avoid the cargo cover. Having said that, this is one area where Honda went backwards, IMHO. I had the 2008 Honda Fit (no longer have it), for which I bought Honda's cargo cover, which was a retractable design. When not needed, the cargo cover could be easily taken out and stowed ... Read More
You may not care for the 2010 Outback styling, but it's a better car in just about every way over the model it replaces. It's actually about an inch shorter than the model it replaces, yet is soooo much more roomier inside. Plus the new CVT transmission is great, in that it is both more economical and transfers power more efficiently (it's quicker than the old model) than the old conventional ... Read More
I just test drove the 2009/2010 honda fit sport and the 2010 honda civic lx. I compared them, head to head, and found the fit to be more towards my liking. I was quoted, as a *SPECIAL* price of: 18,557$ at Clearlake honda in texas. Since it was 300$ off original 18,857$. It was optioned as follows. 1.) 499$ tint (i looked at the web, said it was STANDARD FEATURE....wtf?) 2.)189$ ... Read More
I worked almost all the dealerships in the Chicagoland area for the last two weeks. I had a $16,200 sale price from two other dealerships before the last one jumped in at $16,100...i got lucky, I guess. Either that or the 2010's are on the way soon and they figured they could get rid of an '09 relatively easily. I don't know why the dealerships do what they do...just glad to ... Read More
That's what Honda is doing with the Fit. The real problem is GM just acquired Daewoo and is selling a re-treaded, dated Daewoo design as a Chevy. They were too focused on cost.
Honda doesn't take anyone seriously. That's why they charge so much for their cars. So far, they can get away with it because most of the competition don't take themselves seriously. Toyota doesn't help by overpricing their cars either, but people are willing to pay it, it seems, even for the Yaris and Fit. Besides, NO ONE takes GM and the Aveo/Cobalt seriously...I don't even think GM does yet. They've always ... Read More
That's a 40 mpg turd, for roughly 60% of the price of Honda's 40 mpg (Insight) turd. Not a bad thing, gas has just gone back above $3/gallon again in my area...... I would still love to see Honda take the competition more seriously with the Fit.
Toyota hasn't been a big believer in lots of standard safety equipment until very recently. So it wasn't a big surprise that the first Yarises in '06 had none at all. Standard ESC is going to be mandated in a very short time (2 years) anyway, so Toyota loses little by making it standard earlier, and gains the nice PR of it. For '09 the Yaris got standard ABS and 6 ... Read More
