2009 Honda Fit 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl 5A)
Review
I just traded a 2003 Honda CRV for the the Fit. Love the gas mileage. I don't feel confined as I thought I might. Easy and fun to drive. The whole buying experience was great. Love Honda!

More compartments for things such as sunglasses... don't like the fact that the all doors except driver's are locked when you turn off vehicle... constantly having to remember to hit unlock button.

A lot of fun in a small package

2009 Honda Fit Sport 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl 5A)
Review
If you are looking for something fun to drive with great interior flexibility and very good gas mileage- please consider the Honda Fit. It has very good gas mileage, a lot of interior room with back seats that fold both up and down, wonderful visibility out the front windows, accessible and logically placed dials and controls, a decent stereo system and has that almost undefinable "fun to drive" factor seriously going for it.
Favorite Features
Interior space can be reconfigured creatively and easily, excellent crash test rating, decent stereo, small and easy to park, tall persons can be in the vehicle and not feel squeezed.
Suggested Improvements
Front bumper scrapes on gently sloped driveway, road noise, not much get up and go from a full stop, interior seems cheap compared to some other cars in approximately the same price range.

Didn't think it would be this good

2009 Honda Fit Sport 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl 5A)
Review
Had our Fit Sport a month now with no issues and we are getting 38.5mpg. Much better than posted. It is fun to drive, pretty peppy and everybody likes the way it looks. It is roomy and really great visibility.
Favorite Features
Gas Mileage. Comfortable seats, and great visibility. All the features for the price can't be beat.
Suggested Improvements
An arm rest on the passenger seat would be nice and a sunroof.

Best Honda so far
Vehicle
2009 Honda Fit Sport 4dr Hatchback w/Navigation (1.5L 4cyl 5A)
Review
This is my 8th Honda. Have owned Honda's for 33 years. I love this car. It is a blast to drive, is getting 35 mpg overall. I love the navigation, ipod connector, and the paddle shifters. I would recommend this car for anyone looking for a fun, reliable, roomy car. You can't go wrong with a Honda, and the Fit is just perfect.
Favorite Features
Navigation paddle shifters room view out front window.
Suggested Improvements
none, I can't think of anything that Honda left out this time

My old SL Saturn has been showing signs of dying for years, so I hit the internet looking for a new replacement. I stumbled upon the Fit completely by accident, but fell in love with it after reading several reviews and the specs on it. As of Jan. 27, I've been having a blast with my new Blackberry Sport and it just seems to be getting better! Driving to work is fun again, fuel economy is fantastic, and with all I can do with the back seat/cargo area, I'm set for just about anything! I will admit the price was a bit much, but just over 5k after, this was the BEST investment I could have made! To quote the commercial, "The Fit Is GO!!!!"
Favorite Features
Fuel economy, nice ride, roomy interior, MAGIC SEAT!!, can and WILL park anywhere, CD player and Ipod/flash drive capability, color and design, it's just so CUTE!! ^_^
Suggested Improvements
I'd have to split hairs to find a problem with this car.

Design Defects Cost Owners Money!

Love the car - or DID, until the repairs started coming up. Fog Lights have zero protection - BOTH were broken by stones at 15k miles, at $180 EACH to replace. At 22,685 miles, I'm stuck with a $900 A/C condenser replacement, caused by "road debris," not covered under warranty. A little Internet research shows this is a very common problem caused by defective design - huge holes in the lower grille allow large stones or debris to pass through, and the low clearance makes the condenser extremely vulnerable to damage. Honda should issue a recall to deal with the problem. Instead, they deny there is a problem, sticking their customers with the expense. Unfortunate - my last Honda.
Favorite Features
Sporty handling, great cargo capacity
Suggested Improvements
Change grille to offer protection for A/C condenser

I really wanted to buy a TDI Wagon. I almost did. As a matter of fact, I was an hour away from signing the check for it. Then I test drove the Fit. It was over. Fit 1, TDI Wagon 0. The TDI engine is solid, no doubt. It's the rest of the car that STILL makes me nervous. Plus, I've always been a Honda guy, and after my last two Civic both went 200,000 miles without a single issue (and I do mean, none) other than air filters, oil changes, and tires, I have no reason to believe that this particular car will be any different. The Fit did fit. Besides, I am getting 45mph without hyper-miling it that much. I mean, the EPA numbers are a joke, I can beat those hot dogging it with the AC at full blast!
Favorite Features
Without a question, the magic seats. My dog has more room in the back than in my girlfriend's CRV. It's a cavern back there!
Suggested Improvements
Uhmm, put a height adjuster on the driver seat & make VSA available on all styles, not just top of the line with NAV. Uncharacteristic boneheaded decision on that one, Honda! Oh, and let's have a plug-in diesel hybrid Fit, that's bound to get like 200 miles to the gallon.

First 1200 miles in my new Fit

I am loving this car so far. Averaging 37MPG on my daily 50 mile RT commute and over 39MPG on 250 mile road trip. I have grown to really like the paddle shifters in manual mode, and this from a "die-hard" manual shifter. For a sub- compact there is tons of room and think the rear seat flexibility is very well designed and functional. I find the highway ride a bit harsh and noisy, especially over expansion joints. But overall, this rates as one of the top 3 cars I have owned and I have owned nearly forty cars!
Favorite Features
Paddle shifter. Rear seat flexibility. Fuel economy. Interior layout.
Suggested Improvements
Soften the ride a tad. Increase HP without sacrificing fuel economy?

I have had the Fit for a little over 6 months. It has been fantastic. I still get in the car and am amazed by how much value you get for about $18,000 with taxes, lic, and registration. It would be cool to have a hybrid, but we still get about 38mpg on the highway and 30mpg in the city. This is in hilly San Francisco too. You can park anywhere and still have the cargo capacity of an SUV. Basically, there is no good reason to not buy this car. Do it. You will be super happy.
Favorite Features
Cool blue dash lights, smooth ride, good acceleration, great MPG, paddle shifters (good for people who wanted a manual transmission, like me, but had to settle for an automatic because my girlfriend doesn't know how to drive stick), fog lights, side curtain airbags, USB ipod connection
Suggested Improvements
Passenger armrest, hybrid version? I have to really split hairs to find anything wrong with this car.

On a smaller side of things

2009 Honda Fit Sport 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl 5A)

I ordered this car in light blue color as my wife wanted and in about 2 months we got call to get it. As we looked for her new car and decided to go with subcompact for her relatively long daily commute our options were Nissan Versa or Sentra, Toyota Yaris and Honda Fit. We test drove all of them and overall impression was that Fit was better. It came with the higher price but we went for it anyway, never were sorry. Plenty of space (drove a really tall friend with his bike inside), baby in car seat has all the view, nice touch and feel. We did go to dealership recently to fix loose panel under dashboard to stop the rattle. Seems fuel gauge is not accurate.
Favorite Features
Design, usb connection, space, good speakers, good acceleration considering its class.
Suggested Improvements
Fuel gauge is off, better arm rest with a bin, lighted ignition key entry better range of intermittent wipers mode.
