Re: Nets and covers [flosswinde]
Love our new 2009 Fit, but wonder why cargo cover isn't standard. Agreed that it is a nickel-and-dime thing to avoid the cargo cover. Having said that, this is one area where Honda went backwards, IMHO. I had the 2008 Honda Fit (no longer have it), for which I bought Honda's cargo cover, which was a retractable design. When not needed, the cargo cover could be easily ... Read More...

I'd also like to know the name of the attorney who was taking cases on the Fit. Re: 08 / 09 Fit [aaykay]
Well...tell us more as the weeks and months pass. I probably would have gotten a '10 Fit if they had bothered to put stability control on it with the traction control that cleverly uses the ABS to lock up the wheel that is spinning if you are trying to drive out of an icey driveway (this is more sophisticated than the early traction control that merely drops the rpm ... Re: not impressed so far [tiff_c]
I have a 2008 Fit Sport. Last year when I purchased the car and it got worse mileage than my old 94 civic ex, I couldn't find info on the web. Today I heard that north of boston there is an attorney taking cases on. I do not have a lead foot. I have had the car tested 2x by the dealer, including checking pressure. The Fit Sport has alloy wheels. I have a regional managers phone ... Read More...
Re: MPG Report [dawsonmp]
I would agree that the Fit is a fuel efficient car based on the better #s posted. However, I disagree with the opinion on the negligible impact of aggressive driving of smaller cars. I wanted to get a Fit for its versatility and its better-than-average fuel economy. My wife and in-laws thought it was too small so we settled on the Toyota Matrix. Got the 2008 XRS auto ... Honda Fit Accessories and Modifications
Re: honda accessories [luvindia]
The ONLY reason I bought a 2008 Fit sports is because the base didn't have cruise control, but it cost me another $1,100 for other options that came with the cruise. I think it's a worthwhile investment, though, rather than buying the base Fit and having someone put a cruise in. I don't think it voids the warranty, but you need to call a dealer for it to make sure. Anyway, ... Read More...
never breaking 18 mpg in my 08 Fit! - very depressed and at wits end
In almost a year I have never, ever, ever broken past 18 mpg or gone over about 200 on a full tank on the odometer! Please read and offer any advice/tips/help you can. I'll give you the full story so someone can maybe identify something I haven't thought of yet. Bought my 08' Automatic Fit Sport in August of 2008. It only registered 30 test-driven miles on it, being ... Read More...
Test Drove '09 Fit, Bought Cube & Rabbit Instead
Well I liked my first generation, 2008 Fit quite a bit - the base model with a 5 speed. It got incredible gas mileage (I hit 39 mpg a couple of times and routinely got 37 mpg), and easily carried a six foot, 200 pound friend, me, and his girlfriend from Truckee to Reno - with no problem coming back up the hill from Reno at a good clip. As a "sports car" the original Fit couldn't ... Read More...
Re: Crashed due to brakes? [shelley04]
I found your post because I was looking for others having the same problem as I'm having. I have a 2008 FIT. I haven't crashed (yet) but it's certainly very disconcerting. It usually occurs at very low speed, when I step on the brake the engine surges, but only occassionally. The first time it happened I thought maybe I'd accidentally stepped on the accelerator, ...
