Re: FIT Dust and Pollen or Cabin Filter [vcarreras]
My 2007 Honda Fit Sport 5spd manual already has 48k miles so I decided to go to the dealer today and buy the air filter and cabin filter. I should have bought the parts from an online store to save $20 total as the dealer charged me $26 for the air and $28 for the cabin. Anyway, the cabin filter is the easiest thing to do. Think lint filter on a dryer. Just unlatch your glove ... Read More...

recall on 2007 honda fits
hi: I brought a honda fit 7 months ago, I noticed everytime I drive over a crack, bump or stop short I notice a "boinggg" sound, like a spring is about to pop loose, it's been doing this since I brought the car, I thought it was because it was new, but then I received a recall notice about 2007 honda fits, it says in the salt-belt states, the moisture from a drivers wet shoes ... Honda Fit Starting/Security problem
I have a 2007 Sport Fit, and my wife called me while I was at work. She got in the Fit to run an errand, and the car's alarm went off, the car wouldn't start, she couldn't get the key out of the ignition, and she had a message that the car didn't recognize the key! After she went back in the house to call me, the alarm stopped. She went back to the car, and when she tried to start ... Read More...
What is "wrong" with these new subcompacts?
Re: Versa is HOT [boaz47]
Actually, it's about six months worth of F-series sales in 2007. But that's not the point - some really great cars don't even register as a blip on the radar screen of F-series sales. Corvette? Was outsold by every single individual one of the models I mentioned. Aura, the '07 NACOTY? Was also outsold by every single one except the Fit. When Honda finally ramped ... Read More...
Yaris vs Fit
Watch the tests and guess which car this magazine picked as sub of the year. Should be obvious, right? http://www.cars.com/go/video/player.jsp?makeid=18&year=2007&modelid=8235&locatio- n=MW_L_2007_Honda_Fit.flv&aff=national http://www.cars.com/go/video/player.jsp?makeid=47&year=2007&modelid=8242&locatio- n=MW_L_2007_Toyota_Yaris.flv&aff=national Read More...
Re: Nothing "Wrong" Subcompacts Are Fun To Drive. [ttai]
Regarding the American media raving over the Fit and all but ignoring the Yaris, first one must understand the publishing business and the influence of the advertisers. Toyota does a lot of advertising but does not "expect" anything in return other than seeing their ad. Honda on the other hand rides on the edge of unethical, passing favors to the editors and road ... Read More...
Re: Nothing "Wrong" Subcompacts Are Fun To Drive. [aladdinsane]
My question is why the American media want us to believe that the Honda Fit is the best subcompact out there when the numbers don't bare that out. The Yaris wins on acceleration, braking, steering feel, fuel mileage, price, crash test and comfort. The Fit has a better dash and flippy back seats. The foreigners picked the Yaris over the Fit. So why do the American ... Read More...
Honda Fit Prices Paid and Buying Experiences
Re: Followup on 2008 Honda Fit Sport purchased at Jim McNatt [kaydens]
Yeah, I think it's best the way it turned out. I would like to get a Fit that hasn't been redlined several times. Last night the salesman told me the Fit didn't have a break in period and that the Fit had already been redlined, driven hard, etc. I pointed out that the manual specified a 600 mile break in where the RPMs weren't supposed to be high, and the salesman dismissed ...
