HELLO: NEW MEMBER WITH A STUPID ? ALERT!
We've decided to buy a Fit as my wife's next car but we're on the fence whether to buy a 2007/2008 or wait for the redesigned '09 model. One issue we've always had with the smaller cars is the fact that I'm a big guy at six feet 250 pounds and my wife's only 5'2 and is currently driving an old Corolla that frankly I can't drive comfortably anymore and we were both shocked ... Re: Is a Fit good for arthritic 85 year old? [kiawah]
If you can wait, the new redesigned 2009 Honda Fit would be a much better car for your mother for what she'll be using it for because of a few key upgraded features that aren't availible on the current model. The front quarter windows are three times bigger which will give her a better 360 view of what's going on around her and the winshield will be moved forward to give ... Read More...

What I want in the 2009 Fit
My husband just bought a civic sedan. I want a Fit, but I am not 18 years old. I want a Fit with the magic seat that gets at least the mileage that my husband's larger civic has, and I think they need to offer the trim levels seen on the civic. I used to have a 93 civic hatchback, and loved it, but now I want a few of the comfort features. Specifically, Honda, I hope you are listening ... Read More...

Price Paid - Buying Experience
On 3/10/08 I purchased a new 08 Fit Sport 5AT (auto trans) in Milano Red color for $16,167 out-the-door (not including tax/title/license/registration, which is done at county DMV offices in Nebraska). This is $43 over invoice of $16,123 (MSRP is $16,705), and NO documentation fee. Selling dealer was O'Daniel Honda of Omaha, NE. I paid cash, no trade, and was ... Read More...

Re: NEW 2009 FIT VIDEO [futurefit]
There was an additional article I came across that I've wanted to post which has the most detailed description (five pages printed out) of the new redesigned Fit actually broken down by department but you had to go through six or seven steps to access it and your copy and paste tip couldn't have been easier so this is the first time I've attempted to attach a link to ... Re: Test driving a car when buying through internet dept [toyotapilot]
If the 2009 Fit is as in demand as I think, will internet departments really do any better than a floor salesman? The chance is that there will be no difference, but it never hurts to ask. I myself prefer to get quotes through dealerships' internet sales. Our 2007 Fit was priced the same through that channel as the floor people, but the transaction felt much smoother. ... Read More...
2009 price, MPG?
I read on http://tophondanews.blogspot.com/2007/12/2009-honda-fit.html that the 2009 with the 1.3 liter engine and CVT transmission gets 56 MPG, and the 1.5 get 46 (the article quoted litres per 100 kilometer, and I converted them). The article also quoted the price as 9,800 to 14,600. I'm sure this is the JDM version, but I wonder what the mileage will be ... Read More...
2008 Idle speed
I had a 2007 Honda Fit (base, automatic) whose idle is around 700 rpm when engine is warm. She also gave me average 41 mpg. Sadly, some one hit my Fit last year, so I had to buy another one. However, this 2008 Fit (base, automatic) has odd idle speed (900 rpm) even though her engine is warm. Her fuel economy (average 33 mpg) is not so good, either. Does any one have similar ...
