Trailer Hitch for Honda Fit

Re: Trailer Hitch for Honda Fit [cruzitude]

We ordered a 2009 Fit and hope to take delivery in a couple of weeks. I too would like to install a 1.25" hitch for carrying bikes. There are a number of manufacturers that show 2007/2008 Fit applications, and it does look like it would be an easy install - Hidden Hitch provides installation instructions in pdf format. I do caution you that from what I understand, ... Read More...

Honda Fit Care - Interior & Exterior

Re: Tin junk is falling apart 2008 HONDA FIT [jbonsai]

I have three 08 Fit Sport Automatics and have not experienced these problems. If you are considering getting a different car, look at the 2007 Ford Focus ZX4 SES. My wife had one for about a year until I sold it (per her request) so she could get a Fit like the ones my son and I drive. The Focus was a great car, except gas mileage would not be as high as the Fit. The manual ... Read More...

Honda Fit Prices Paid and Buying Experiences

Fit Prices Paid

I have bought 3 new 2008 Fit Sport Automatics since December of 2007. The MSRP on each car was the same, $16,705. All were purchased cash (no financing) and no trade-in. The first one (blaze orange) was bought in Lincoln, NE, in Dec of 2007 for $16,322 and no documentation fee, or $200 over Honda's generally recognized "invoice" cost for this car of $16,122. The ... Honda Fit vs. Honda Element

Re: Fit vs. Element [roszelj]

Hello. I have a 2007 Honda Element EX 4WD. I have had my Element for over a year now too. I was considering the Fit before I bought my Element, I'm very happy with my decision. I would have liked the MPG's of the Fit (27city / 30 combined / 34 highway), rather than the Element's (19city/ 21combined/ 24highway) I normally get 25MPG, but that is great for a 3661lb 4WD SUV. ... Honda Fit Accessories and Modifications

Re: Honda Fit Accessories [Sylvia]

I posted this in another section of this site, but i'll post here as well since i see you all are talking about customizing. "Has anybody done anything yet to their fit in the way of customizing? I bought a black 2007 base model about 1 month ago with 2800 miles. So far I tinted all windows except windshield, put in subs, amp, and sat radio, installed keyless entry (yes, ... Read More...

honda fit vs. hyndai accent

Re: honda fit vs. hyndai accent [ftlmatt]

Honda Fit is more like $4000(more?), not $1000 more than the Accent. One dealer here in the NW sold 2007 Hyundais for $8000 six months ago, & several dealers recently sold lots of 2008 Accents for $9000. I even met someone that got the $9000 deal & he was ecstatic about his Accent. Hundred thousand mile Accent warranty that Honda doesn't match. My wife's 2008 Accent ... Read More...

Honda Fit v. Hyundai Accent

Bump!

This comparison between Honda Fit & Hyundai Accent was pretty good. I only read the latter parts of the thread & didn't see any comparisons of the MPG of both cars. My wife's 2008 Accent, bought in Dec 2007 gave 30 to 32 thru the winter & rose just a bit as the weather warmed. I was a bit disappointed, thinking a Honda Fit might have given better MPG. Finally, I got to take ... Read More...

Re: Check Odometer for Accurate MPG [thegraduate]

Here's a follow-up to my original posting, the facts on the odometer lawsuit, to the credit of Honda: "Honda says odometers on 6M cars click off mileage at too-quick pace Updated 2/19/2007 10:10 AM ET "...The carmaker says its odometers were accurate to within 3.75% on the high side and 1% on the low side. "Honda (HMC) is notifying 6 million owners of Hondas and ... Read More...

Article Comments - 2009 Honda Fit First Drive / Full Test

Re: U.S. will get 80,000 2009 Fits a year [backy]

Not that it is really very important, but when Honda first made an announcement for the Greenburg plant on March 20, 2007 JST (March 19 US), it did explicitly state the model name to be assembled there as the Civic, with the planned production of 200K units per year. The Japanese HQ press release which I have in front of me does say the Civic (4 door). The worldwide ... Read More...
