Re: air conditioning design weaknees for Honda Element [zabeth]

zabeth, I installed the "gutter guard" solution on my 2004 EX. Lowes had black plastic gutter guard, so you can't really see it and it matches the factory black grill area. Between cutting the guard to length, then installing with black zip ties, the whole thing took about 20 mintes. I picked off about 6 bugs that woudl have hit the condensor on a recent trip. The ... Re: EX stereo questions [allfiredup]

I have a 2004 Honda Element EX AWD with the upgraded stereo system. I can honestly tell you that the factory system will deliver top notch sound. Unless you are looking for really loud thumping bass this system will do whatever you want it to and all types of music sounds good if the settings are adjusted correctly. The AUX input is in the shelf on the passenger side ... Read More...

Re: Honda Elements at Invoice [hili]

As I posted before I got (new) 2004 Element from Lorenz Honda in Greenfield, MA (close to VT and NH) about a month ago. I paid below invoice b/c it was 2004 and got a VERY generous trade allowance (I had shopped around). All-in-all I got a great deal and had a superior buying experience. There is a larger volume dealership in Northampton (Lia) but I couldn't even get ... Read More...

Bought NEW 2004 in MA

I just bought my first Honda, 2004 Element EXS AWD, and I LOVE it. I paid $20,200 (not including tax title, etc) which was about $100 less than dealer invoice. Lorenz Honda in Greenfield MA also gave me $300 above book on my trade (2003 Neon with almost 60,000 miles). I had shopped other SUVs and went in to test the CRV. I went in on Thursday night to test drive and brought ... Read More...

Re: honda element side doors [spencer3] Awkward

We think that the doors are very awkward. We have teenagers and they like to sit in the back. So if you are in a spot where there are cars parallel parked on both sides of you it's tough. You have to open the front door to open the back. When the front is open, there's nowhere to stand to open the back. So we back out parallel parking to let kids in and out of the back. Plus the ... Re: A boxy second car [rhody_marco]

You said, in part: "My questions... The new side-crash results were disappointing. Any idea if Honda plans to address this, say with standard side airbags ? " Honda has a new safety program called "Saftey for All;" from what I understand they intend to incorporate antilock brakes, side curtain airbags, and vehicle stability control in ALL their vehicles in ... Honda Element Prices Paid and Buying Experience

04 Element EX 4WD

I also shopped around for a 2004 Honda Element EX 4WD Automatic (Side Air Bags and with all standard equipment). The price Dealer asked was $20,000.00, which includes NYC sales taxes,$490 destination fee and plates\registration fees also. I figured the final price payed came out to be about $2190 under invoice, which I think is even better then 2005. But since ... Read More...

My Honda Element

We bought our new 2004 Honda Element at Buerkley Honda in White Bear Lake Minnesota last week and I love it! We got the 2004 Element 5DR 4WD EXS, Fiji Blue Pearl with the front and side airbags. I just love this truck, sure beats the 2002 Dodge Caravan we got rid of! We paid $21,840.00 for ours but we got the 1.9% for 60 months! Can't beat that! The only down fall we have ... Read More...
