2009 Honda CR-V EX 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
I've had it a month now and love it. Don't notice road noise others have mentioned. I have the AWD with the Bridgestone tires. Been getting 21-22 mpg combined driving and around 28 mpg on all highway. I'm 6ft.2in. and have plenty of room. There is plenty of power for me. It's a very nice ride on the highway.
Favorite Features
Handling and reliability.
Suggested Improvements
There should be a warning tone or something if you leave the sunroof open after you shut off the motor.

Love my CR-V! Got the CR-V with all the bells and whistles, it is incredible!
Favorite Features
All the options... the navi is excellent, back up camera, stereo sys, interior is comfortable, exterior is eye-catching
Suggested Improvements
We also have the 2009 Pilot, I would love to see the Pilot's navi in the CR-V, then it will be considered perfection.
Better Than Expected...

After driving every small ute out there, I narrowed it down to the CR-V and the Forester. The wife preferred the look of the CR-V over the Forester. Since it's primarily her car we went with the CR-V. I was most concerned about the lack of power (I drive an '09 Murano). However, it packs plenty of punch for her daily needs. It's amazing how spacious the interior feels on such a small frame. This is a perfect vehicle for driving around town, but I prefer the smooth ride of my Murano on a long drive. The handling is superb for an SUV, which makes it fun to drive. I was concerned about rear visibility w/o the backup camera, but it's fine. Make sure you check out the Forester too.
Favorite Features
Handling! Access (strapping in the kids and driving height). Built-in satellite radio. Fun to drive. Honda reliability.
Suggested Improvements
Where's the bluetooth?!? Intelligent key would be nice.

Love the CR V
Vehicle
2009 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
We traded in our 04 Chrysler Town and Country that had 170,000 (my husband drives a lot for work)for the CR V. What a great and fun to drive truck it is! Our other car is a Volvo XC90, and while I enjoy driving it, the CR V is so easy to maneuver and park that I have virtually kidnapped th CR V from my husband. It really is a great value compact SUV for the money, not to mention the Honda reliability. This is our 3rd Honda and we couldn't be more pleased.
Favorite Features
Leather seats, tons of storage space throughout, gear shift placement, ease of handling
Suggested Improvements
Lighted vanity mirrors, power retractable side mirrors

I am happy I purchased this car because I love the way it looks and drives. Very practical. Lots of compliments from retirees. Car looks like it costs a lot more than it does.
Favorite Features
Design, fit and finish are excellent, handling... And, it is a Honda.
Suggested Improvements
Gas mileage is a disappointment, Arm rests are not adjustable, No inside release for rear hatch

Seats from Hell
Vehicle
2009 Honda CR-V EX 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
Love the 2009 Honda CR-V I just bought with one glaring exception, the seats are from hell. After about a 100 mile trip they are so uncomfortable I just about traded it in with less than 500 miles total on the CR-V. Probably will not keep this vehicle much longer, cannot stand to be so miserable. Am asked "How do you like your new car?" I answer "I hate it, want to buy it!" That just about sums it up!!
Favorite Features
Style, handling, build quality.

Overall I'm Happy
Vehicle
2009 Honda CR-V LX 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
Just purchased my CR-V LX AWD, it drives nice and smooth, I love the space in front and back. I don't feel like I'm driving a big SUV almost feels like I'm still driving my Jetta. This was reasonably priced, although I do wish there were some extras in the low end model, don't need all the bells and whistles, but some would be nice. Overall safe pick, compared to the Toyota RAV4, I feel I got a bigger car with more room.
Favorite Features
Smooth ride, the space - lots of leg room and storage in back.
Suggested Improvements
There is a 3rd seat belt for the back seat that is attached on the ceiling by the back/truck area. It's a little distracting when you're looking in the rearview. Could have been better on the seat. Also the blue LED light that is on in the middle ceiling console, it's distracting, no need for it.

Just Another

2009 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
Well I was sold on all the hype of reliability. My wife is really upset we traded a Chevy that has zero issues to one that has us at the Honda Dealer every week. All little stuff from rattles to AC not working. Oh yeah my second transmission in 18000 Miles. Did I get a lemon? Don't think so, lots of others in the waiting room at Honda thinking what did I do. Oh the new body style will be better; seems they are doing a redesign to modernize it like the Nissan, Chevy , Ford and Mitsubishi.
Favorite Features
Well after the problems it's hard to see anything good. It looks like every other grocery getter out there. No fear driving this as it can't do much as far as performance.
Suggested Improvements
More power, better rear visibility, better stereo, Bluetooth option, Smart or Pass Key Option, better brakes - Honda, better brakes are an option (LX vs EX)?? Safety should never be an option.

09 CRV EX (compare to 02 CRV)
Vehicle
2009 Honda CR-V EX 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
Upgraded from an 02 CRV EX to an 09 CRV EX. The 09 "seems" smaller in the cargo area - but upon putting the cargo tray from the 02 into the 09 - it's actually the same size. The difference is that the 09 has support shelves for the cargo shelf that stick out into the trunk area. The hatch also slopes - so you lose some space. In addition, the EX is missing the hooks that the 02 had (to hang grocery bags). The 09 is missing dash storage - but the dash is much better designed - I can reach the radio controls without leaning forward. Note - the Honda supplied floor mats are junk! After 1500 miles, I've worn out the carpet pile. The mats on my 02 looked brand new after 7 years. Overall, B+.
Favorite Features
Dash layout, real time MPG readout (helps you adjust your driving habits to maximize fuel economy). MPG is better than my 02 - averaging around 23/24 with a mix of city/hwy. City driving - 21 MPG.
Suggested Improvements
Include body side molding and quality floor mats. Plastic interior door handles scratch very easily. Add hooks to the center tray so you can hang a trash bag (like the 02 had.) Add a dash cubby for a garage door opener. The 02 had one at the top - the 09's cubbies are low and you have to bend.
