Where do you live? I live in the Boston, Mass. area and paid $22,298.00 (plus taxes and title and the accessories I chose) for a CRV-EX with all wheel drive about five weeks ago. A few weeks later the dealer (Boch Honda Norwood) dropped another couple of hundred, I believe. So I think you are being asked to pay more than $1,000 too much. :( Read More...

Yeah, I hear you indianajohns, and you make spot-on points as to why we should've leveraged our "trade" more. The demand of the Civic right now is pretty sick where I'm at: dealers are completely out of stock on the 2008 Civics in Massachusetts, and I'm fairly sure the 2009s are gonna be high and tight when it comes to getting a deal. MSRP = $21,900 + $670 destination fees. This MSRP is without the add-ons, I'm not sure what the price of those actually is. The dealer said $1,200, but it seems high considering they consisted of mud flaps, heavy-duty car mats, door guards, and a pin stripe. Our price was $19.6k (including add-ons) + $670 destination fee. A friend of mine has a 2008 Honda CRV with 14000 miles. He says that the dealer told him not to change oil until the red indicator light came on . With an overstock of literally 100s of 2008 CR-Vs still available at many dealers, I would not take B.S. from any dealer, especially with the current credit crunch. Its a buyer's market now and buyers should take advantage of it, especially if they are willing to wait until November or December to buy.
