Great fun vehicle
Vehicle
2008 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV AWD w/Navigation (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
Just bought it for my wife to take to work. She loves it and I want to take it away from her! Handles like a sports car, features of a more expensive American vehicle. Can't wait to try it in snow!
Favorite Features
Audio/Navigation systems. Seating comfort, head room, leg room, pick-up, ride, and handling
Suggested Improvements
Automatic on/off headlamps, larger arm rests.

10 Day Review
Vehicle
2008 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV AWD w/Navigation (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
After tooling around in our new CR-V for 10 days, we are continually impressed by this vehicle. It's got a peppy engine, great handling, cool styling, and all the bells and whistles we could ask for. The only extra we needed was a roof rack, because this baby comes fully loaded, standard. It climbs well in the foothills (haven't taken it for a spin further up yet) and accelerates smoothly on the highway.
Favorite Features
The Nav system, MP3 jack, heated leather seats (very nice for these Colorado winters), and the layout of the dash is very intuitive.
Suggested Improvements
Power seats throughout, and a coin holder of some type for those whose console gets taken up by the CD player because of the Nav screen. It would be simple enough to add a small ledge inside the rear compartment of the console where the MP3 jack resides.

No better car for the money
Vehicle
2008 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV AWD w/Navigation (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
Just purchased our EX-L with Nav in Whistler Silver. Got it for $500 over invoice with 1.9% financing. The dealer had several on the lot and didn't even balk at my offer. Even had them throw in a couple of chrome CR-V license plates to boot. I've owned several Hondas over the years, and there is NO better car for the money. Fantastic interior, great exterior styling, and Honda reliability. The CR-V is hands down the best value for the money. Looked at a RAV4, and it wasn't even close. The interior wasn't near as nice, and I hate the spare tire on the back.
Favorite Features
Leather, Navigation, Heated Seats, and of course, Honda's reputation for reliability. This care will go 200k without even breaking a sweat. Good thing too, since we owned our last Honda for 10 years. In that 10 years, no problem whatsoever. You can never go wrong purchasing a Honda.
Suggested Improvements
Bluetooth is my only gripe. I'm sure Honda will include it on the 2009. Maybe the guy in charge of Bluetooth on Hondas was out sick while they were deciding on what new features to put in the 2008.

great car under 30K

2008 Honda CR-V EX 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
I just purchased a Honda CRV EX and I am very happy with my purchase. A great car to zip around town and has great mpg on the HWY I am getting 29 mpg on the highway. It handles very well and the view is excellent. There doesn't seem to be many blind spots. It's built very well. The doors are solid and the interior is well designed. There is a lot of room in the car and plenty of storage areas. There is plenty of leg room in the rear seats and could fit two car seats very comfortably. Its a great value for the price!!
Favorite Features
It's fun to drive and you could see well while you are driving, there are few blind spots
Suggested Improvements
The ride is a bit bumpy if the road is not smooth, could use better suspension system

First CRV
Vehicle
2008 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
Bought in 2/08. Had remote starter installed as part of deal, works great in warming up car in winter, start car from living room and 10 minutes later windshield is clear of ice and snow. 10,000 miles so far, getting about 24.8 MPG, over 29 MPG on long highway trips. Kind of noisy, but overall I am happy with the decision to buy. Wish I had a backup camera, parking can be a pain.
Favorite Features
Driver seat with 6-way movement and with seat heaters.
Suggested Improvements
Back-up camera, but not as part of navigation system.

This Car Will Surprise You
Vehicle
2008 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
We have had several SUV's and still have three along with our new CR-V. When we went to buy a Honda, we had our heart set on a Pilot until we walked into the show room and looked at a CR-V on the floor. We were amazingly surprised at what we saw. Great comfort, styling and looks. After the test drive we were sold. Absolutely love it and cannot find one thing that we don't like. It is our first Honda in a long time and we were very pleasantly surprised. IF you are thinking of it [CR-V vs anything else] you cannot go wrong with the CR-V. Fantastic car for the money. Tremendous value and options for a vehicle in this class.
Favorite Features
Seating, roominess, in dash Nav backup camera, stereo, visibility from the cockpit and dash layout.
Suggested Improvements
Would be nice to have the home link system like we have had in all of our cars so we don't have to have the garage door opener on the visor.

Best small SUV on the market
Vehicle
2008 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV AWD w/Navigation (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
I drove all the small SUVs before buying the CR-V. RAV4 handled like an old school bus. Rogue is nice but has the cargo capacity of a sub-compact. Subaru is nice but had dated technology. Mileage on the CR-V is very good for AWD, 22/27 after break-in and I have gotten nearly 30 mpg on flat highway. There is sufficient power for typical maneuvers and auto is smoothest I have experienced. Very solid build quality though I've had a few rattles come and go. Why can I get factory bluetooth on a crappy Honda Fit but not on my top-of-the-line CR-V?!
Favorite Features
Great handling for an SUV, nice stereo, voice controls.
Suggested Improvements
No bluetooth, tumble-forward seats don't lock into position, wider/quieter tires.

CRV-Power Steering Rack
Vehicle
2008 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
Just purchased the Honda CR-V EX-L (AWD) and with only 71 miles had a problem with the power steering. Took the car back to the dealer to find out that the power steering rack is leaking power steering fluid. The rack is on back order and they should have the part in 2 days. Anyone ever requested a new vehicle? I'm not impressed with the quality or reliability.
Favorite Features
The spare tire is inside the car instead of on the outside. Like the gauges and MPG display
Suggested Improvements
Would be nice to have the ability to control the ipod with bluetooth. The rear shelf does not hold that much weight.

My First Honda
Vehicle
2008 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Review
I have had my new CR-V for about a month. Overall, I am fairly satisfied with it. However, in the first week of ownership, I developed a "tire shimmy" which could not be corrected by rebalancing the tires. Therefore, the dealer had to switch out the tires from Bridgestones to Continentals. And, it solved the problem. The service manager also found 4 more CR-Vs on his lot with the same problem. New buyers should be aware of this potential problem. I also pulled out those marginal floor mats and replaced them with indoor/outdoor carpet runners with rubber backing from Home Depot. I cut the strip into 4 pieces to full size thus protecting all of the base carpet Cheap, but very effective.
Favorite Features
Glacier Blue color, gray interior leather, comfortable interior
Suggested Improvements
No automatic headlights, small gas tank, no side storage compartments in cargo area.
