Great value - Small things annoy
By polarbear14 on

2014 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl 5A)

We've had this for over 6 months and 5000+ miles,
It replaced an older Honda Crosstour - glad we did.
The CRV is comfortable, highly maneuverable and very economical for an AWD.
The controls are easy to use.
We would consider buying this car again if we were in the market.

Best Features

The driving position, fuel economy and ease of entry are excellent. Ride is quiet in the front seats, noisier in the back, but OK. Have a regular key, not a fob, as in some models/makes. Much better for forgetful people. Starter buttons went out with the 1951 Chevy. Hooking up your cell phone is easy and the audio system, with optional SiriusXM works great.

Worst Features

Honda always seems to provide small annoyances. First, the cruise control is useless - would be fine in the flatland of middle America - but is uneven and unable to maintain speed smoothly in normal hilly country of the northeast. Second, forget the ECO setting - you get better mileage without it. All this is partly due to having only a 5 speed automatic (competition has 6 spd) and poor shift points. Honda - up your game. Lastly, I am tired of Honda's North Korean color palette - grey, grey and more grey. Very boring. Is the North Korean market that large?
