I recently bought an LX 2wd, and it's a feature packed little SUV for a great price. I looked at several compact SUVs and while I like many of them, I discovered that many of them just didn't feel very solid. The CRV may not be the cheapest, but at this point I think it's probably a best buy over the long-haul.
I love the mileage meter. It's terrific. It really shows you how your driving affects your fuel consumption.
I think the cargo shelf should come standard as part of the LX. It's not a fancy feature, but very necessary, particularly if you plan on leaving bags in the car, and you like to come back with your windows in tact.
