I bought my CRV new, six years ago and I'm even more impressed with it now. The car is simply a masterpiece of reliability, usefulness, economy and comfort. At 88000 miles the a/c compressor blew out. That's it. No other malfunctions or part failures. Now at 97000 the engine is quiet, the ride is still composed, trans shifts smoothly and everything is A-OK. Even the paint and wheels still look pretty good.
Very roomy interior. Good cargo space especially with the rear seats rolled up. Very comfortable seats. The 4 wheel drive kicks in instantly. The snowy hills of Rockland County are no match for the mighty CRV. The tightest turning circle of any car I've owned.
Sound system. The compressors all poop out. There is a way to program the hvac so that you can shut off the A/C when the defrost is on. It saves needless wear and tear. The OEM Bridgestones were JUNK. A quieter ride would be nice.
