2007 Honda Civic Si 2dr Coupe w/Summer Tires (2.0L 4cyl 6M)

Review

This is just a great little ride for anyone. I had an S2K, but since it's convertible, I decided to go with something at least a little more practical. The fact that it's a Honda says a lot. High RPM, great reliability ratings, gas mileage, futuristic styling, and definitely the handling is precise, and the list goes on. I only have one complaint and that is rattling of something in the roof. It's possible that there might be a pebble or acorn or something that got sucked in while I was doing the sunroof back, but it is a very annoying problem. Also, the wheels seem to chip easy. I drive on gravel roads very little, but on two of my wheels, it is chipped.

Favorite Features

Dashboard (both red and blue backlights), iV-tec, audio system, exhaust system, upholstery, and even the gas mileage. It is by far the best in its class, and the most boring trip can become the funnest (and quickest)! The engine is a perfect match for the car.

Suggested Improvements

Bi-Xenon headlamps maybe, I do enjoy the manual, but perhaps a electronic- shift automatic system would sell the car to the people who can't drive stick-shifts. Then again, I like to be one of the few who drives an Si. Wind noise can be bothersome, I guess that's why they have that nice audio system.

With gas prices going up I saw the need to change vehicles. The old FWD Chrysler concord was a good vehicle, but avg 20 mpg. The Honda is stable to drive and better in snow that I expected. The fuel economy has offset much of the extra payment, and the resale $$ is much better. Call it Honda+ The brakes are solid and the engine is the smoothest 4 cyl I have ever felt. Good A/C, and sun roof. Bad item was the rear control arms that went bad or were poor design. They ruined the rear tires by 19,000 mi. They were replaced, but watch for this potential failing. All other aspects are excellent with enough room for me, @ 6'5".

Controls and displays. Acceleration, and braking. Fuel economy is +++

I have been nothing but pleased with my Civic. No major problems, and when traveling on the highway I generally get around 40 mpg, which is incredible. I have had no work done on it in the last two years other than the usual oil change. I would recommend this car to anyone.

Favorite Features

Digital readout tachometer

Suggested Improvements

It's a little grabby, but you get used to it.

I've owned my Civic for just a bit over 1 yr. now. Not ecstatic, but I'm satisfied with what it has to offer. GREAT on fuel! Not to small or too big of a sedan and the price is worth it for what you'll be getting in the long run. Look how great '94 civics are running now days, right? They look almost as close to nice as Acura's TSX- for what your paying for a Honda Civic, it will be well worth it in the future. I'm still enjoying.

Favorite Features

Digital dash (so I know exactly when my tank is running on fumes!), MPG, front headlights look nice, 4 wheel brakes.

Suggested Improvements

Passenger blindspot!!! Be CAUTIOUS for I've come twice to almost hitting a car. Road noise is bad. Engine stalls in wintertime!! Cigarette lighter would be nice.

2007 Honda Civic Hybrid 4dr Sedan w/Navi (1.3L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Review

You can't beat a Honda Civic Hybrid with voice activated navigation. This eco-friendly auto gets great gas mileage (avg. 46+ MPG) in city & hwy driving., it is fun to drive, has some terrific features and it's a Honda so what else is there to worry about? Slight decrease on the EPA ratings 49/51 are to be expected as we live in an area that has a lot of hills. Our HCH has a Thule Roof Rack and generally have surfboards on them most of the time. Most people don't realize that EPA estimates for Hwy are tested at 55 mph with one occupant weighing less than 150 lbs, and without the AC running.

Favorite Features

Voice Activated Navigation system with touch screen ad XM Satellite radio.

Suggested Improvements

Sporty looking 17" light weight Alloy Wheels like the Civic Si.

Bought this new in December of 2006. Love the looks and it is still a blast to drive. I have it in black and it is sharp. Only defects so far is the sunroof rattled and 3rd gear was a little sticky. Dealer fixed both problems, no charge. Interior plastic is a little cheap, it scuffs easily and I dented the door where I rest my elbow. Vehicle stability assist has kicked in a couple of times in the snow and it helped with the traction. For performance, appearance, and sheer fun to drive it can't be beat.

Favorite Features

Vtec engine and the way the car grips the road in a curve.

Suggested Improvements

Power seats as an option. Upgrade the cloth interior so it doesn't act as a magnet for pet hair.

I've owned this car since May 2007. Never had one single problem with it. No rattles, squeaks, nothing. The ride is somewhat rough, but that is expected with tight suspension. Makes up for it in handling. Very quick, although most power is at VTEC (6000- 8000 rpm. A blast to drive. Love it!

Favorite Features

VTEC engine, interior, quality of build. Stereo is impressive for factory.

Suggested Improvements

Not require premium fuel (although it is to be expected in high performance engines),

I was on my way to Costco for milk when I saw this car, test drove it, and bought it on impulse, it replaced a 2004 Scion xB. I love the ext/int styling but wish the trunk was a lil bigger for boxes. love the interior, however, beige gets dirty so easily. Great Handling, Amazing brakes, awesome stereo, love the aux input. I wish i would've opted for the updated pkg with nav/bluetooth/trunk opener/sun roof. One thing, I get a weird rattling from my trunk, and my front left brake had a piece melt off of it, but it was replaced/fixed instantly by Honda no questions asked. Great purchase and I can't wait for the 2010 Honda Insight Hybrid! I average about 475 Miles per tank

Favorite Features

The cute things the car does like light up the dash when you insert the key, or activate the daytime running lights when you release the parking brake. I also love how when you stop the car, and turn the key to off the interior light softly glows. I love the accident anticipation feature!

Suggested Improvements

At least put in 6 speakers for LX edition. Opt for the EX package, worth the money. I customized with 17" wheels with no sacrifice in MPG. Get dark interior so difficult to keep beige clean

This is a great little car, and when traveling across the state of Florida, I always get at least 45 MPG, sometimes even slightly better than that. It's also sharp-looking for a Civic. I'm happy with my purchase.

Favorite Features

Premium stereo, exterior design, and love the gas-sipping engine.
