Test Driver Ratings & Comments

Acceleration commentsWe launched at 3,500 rpm. Redline is marked at 8,000 rpm, and the Si's i-VTEC system switches to its high-lift camshaft profiles at 6,000, at which point the engine really comes alive. The rev limiter comes in at 8,500 rpm. We shifted at 8,200.
Braking ratingGood
Braking commentsThe pedal is not very progressive, and ABS noise and vibration are excessive. Still, the brakes feel solid under maximum load and front-end dive is minimal.
Handling ratingExcellent
Handling commentsThe optional Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 summer tires are grippy and progressive as you approach their adhesion limits. Handling is very precise to the point of notable understeer, and then lifting off the throttle helps the car turn in. Through it all, the engine sounds very cool.
