And I had a rather sizeable leak yesterday AM under front end of 2006 Civic EX, 37000 miles. My leak was obviously green antifreeze. Added H2O, went to work, topped off last night w/ H2O, another small puddle this AM (maybe 2 cups or so). Have appointment with dealer Thursday and have a water bottle with me! Ideas?? What a coincidence! My 2008 Civic has exactly the same symptoms at 12,000 miles. The technician said something is causing the rear tires to "Cup" and make excessive road noise and vibration at speeds around 70 MPH. I have had it in 3 times, and I am about to go get it from the shop again. The service department says that Honda had a problem in 2006 and 2007 models with ... Read More...

2006 honda civic hybrid 27,000 miles. I took my car in for recall work, to find out why there is a thump when I brake, and why my shifter gets so hot. They claimed to have done the recall work and could find out nothing about the brakes or the transmission. My car was not having the IMA issue until after I left the dealership. Purchased a 2006 Honda Civic LX yesterday with 30,000 miles at Duval Honda in Jacksonville, FL for $ 14,000 OTD. They told me the pricing was low due to end of month but I'm not so sure about that? I'm not sure if that is a good price for an EX, but check out Hardin Honda in Anaheim. Go to their website and do the build a model, then quick quote. Give them your exact specifics and ask internet sales for an out the door price for an LX and and an EX. I bought a new 07 Civic LX sedan from them last year and had a great experience.I wanted the exact break down, my price + fees ... Read More...

I thought the 2006 RSX had more power than the older versions (some sources say 210 hp and 143 lb-ft while others say 201 hp and 140 lb-ft, which is pretty confusing)? Anyway I'm probably going to go with the Civic because it looks a little sharper IMO and I like the interior better (the dash on the Honda is awesome and leather seats tend to make you slide all over the ... If your goal is high mileage and you aren't as concerned about reducing your carbon footprint, the Honda Fit or Toyota Yaris might be better choices than any of the hybrids - cheaper initially and gas mileage almost as good. Read More...
