2006 civic ex 4dsd sunvisor problems
I have an 06 civ 26,500 miles on it and started experiencing problems with the drivers side sunvisor falling down and obscuring vision while driving. It started making a noise first than a crack, after that the visor would not stay up. I took it back to the dealer and they did the right thing but was advised that the extended warranty does not cover this and the part ... Read More...

Honda civic LX 2006
I just bought used 06 LX , 105K . Do I need to change timing belt? or it's use chain? Do I need to change it? Can I wait for a while? I read some topic that it has recall on something. Is it free if I go to Honda center/dealer to check and change those things, if I bought it used? BTW, my insurance get higher $500. Is it because I got a newer car (my old one, accord EX 98) or because ... Read More...
Re: 2006 Honda Civic EX sedan automatic [tyhd91]
Its a good price ............. but only if the economy wasn't down and car companies weren't selling new vehicles at big discounts. A brand new 2009 civic EX sells for $16.5k so the price difference between a 3 year old civic with 30K miles and a new one is only $2,500. If you are dropping 14k on a car, i would think another 2.5k to get a brand new is worth it. Also, if you ... Read More...

Re: Real MPG Honda EX [steve190]
I drove my dad's 2007 Civic EX Automatic from Gulf Shores, AL to Birmingham when evacuating his car from Hurricane Gustav last year. He stayed behind in a company vehicle. We stayed around 70 MPH (we were a convoy of 3 cars), with the cruise control set. I got 37 MPG, while my 2006 Accord (2.4L I4, Automatic) got 35 MPG while being driven by my girlfriend. It's amazing ... Read More...

Honda Civic Hybrid Battery Pack Questions
Re: New problem - could be the battery 2003 Civic Hybrid [stan29]
I enjoyed reading everyone else's anecdotes (enjoy isn't really the right word), so I thought I'd post my experience. My 2003 had a transmission problem at about 32k miles. It was out of warranty, but the dealership (Curry Honda in Atlanta) replaced the starter clutch for free - they said there was a bulletin on the problem, and the technician, who seemed knowledgeable ... I have a honda civic Ex 2006 and had many problems with it such as overheated engine, lack of air condition, and brake problems. Re: 2006 Civic LX with rear upper control arm issues, advice? [politeness99]
On my son's '06 Civic, the tires wore out at 25,000 miles. He now has 70,000 miles and I will see how these do. This is the third set of tires. My dealer swares that it was out of alignment and that it was out of alignment due to his driving. I know this can't be. I was extremely disappointed that a Honda would have this kind of problem. This is more like something from GM ... Read More...
