Worst car I have ever owned , nothing but one failure after another and its only got 80,000 mi . I'm not sure if I'm going to fix anything more since the engine block could crack and render the car junkyard bound .
A lot of people are really bashing on this Civic, people need to realize that Honda has ALWAYS been bad for road noise. It has always had a rough ride and has never had comfortable seating. If you want that kind of car, go buy a Cadillac. Next, if the exterior doesn't align DON'T BUY IT. It is the companies fault, not something you should take on. Also a lot of people complain about the car and they drive like idiots and don't take care of it. For the tranny issues. Just buy a manual, it is a lot easier to service a clutch than a auto transmission. It solves the gutless problem as well because of the direct drive, there is no slippage opposed to the auto.
Interior and Exterior Design, people call it cheap. But those people are also the ones who drive their vehicles into the ground and don't care for them.
Just the control arm in the rear suspension to help with the wear of the tires. If you get it fixed quickly then the problem does not cost hardly any money. Also the window angle does need changing for most people because of glare. Being over 6 feet tall, I do not have a problem with it though. Another solution is to buy polarized sunglasses when you drive.
Had a brand new 2010 Mazda 3 but got rid of it to buy a 4-year-old used Honda Civic for half the price. I can't tell you how happy I am with this car. I get great gas mileage (37 with mixed city/hwy), which is easily 12 mpg better than the Mazda! The interior styling is excellent - I have the beige interior and its so open, light and airy, especially with the sunroof. The seats are spacious and comfortable, and the trunk gives me plenty of storage space for hauling stuff. Back seats are pretty big for a coupe. Love the layout of all the instrumentation, including the handy steering wheel mounted audio controls.
Love the "heads up display" for fuel and speedometer. Interior illumination is futuristic and functional. Seats are very comfortable. fuel economy is outstanding. 5 speed manual is sporty, responsive and fun to drive. One-touch sunroof is nice. Aux input great for iPod. Excellent Honda reliability!
For a 4-year-old vehicle purchased in fall 2010, it has everything I would expect and more. A USB input and built-in Bluetooth would be nice, but these are far from necessary. Only real complaint is the speakers: for a "Premium" audio system, they're rather poor and rattle a lot.
Bought my Civic EX Coupe with a manual transmission just over 2 years ago and still love it. Not only is it a great looking car, it's fun to drive. Very economical on gas and seems to get much better than stated in the reviews. I'm averaging about 33 mpg and that's mainly driving around town!
easy to read dash, fuel economy, stereo controls built into the steering wheel.
I've owned this car for almost 2 years now and I love it. My wife is the primary driver and she couldn't be happier with the styling, performance and gas mileage. The last 2 years we have driven it from Ohio to Savannah on vacation and have averaged 40 mpg on the highway. We avg about 34 with a combination of country and city driving. Plan on getting a second one soon!
The styling and gas mileage.
More powerful Battery. The one that comes with it is very weak and barely starts in the winter.
