2004 Honda Civic EX 2dr Coupe w/Side Airbags (1.7L 4cyl 4A)
Display stopped working at 2000 miles;
dealer had to get a new chip which
reset my odometer. Besides that I have
not encountered any mechanical or
electrical problems. People working at
the dealer were sleazy, didn't listen
to me and weren't in a rush to help.
Gas needle has a mind of its own.
Panels and doors fit together very
well and obvious care taken toward fit
and finish but doors still don't close
with a confident thump. For the car's
size the trunks massive. Driver's seat
uncomfortable but not unbearable to be
in for long trips. Back seat is nice
and fairly roomy. Yawn inspiring
acceleration. Ride is smooth, cabin
noise minimal on highways.
Care that went into building the car.
Gas bill not too bad. Trunk space.
Good all around, not one thing that
really sticks out. Gauges are
conservative but nice to look at.
More torque and make rear wheel drive.
More colors (only 7 colors to choose
from and 3 were types of silver). More
interior colors to choose from (only 2
available and no leather). Makes for a
car with very little individuality.
Remote trunk release. Styling just
okay. Better brakes.
