No complaints. I drive this thing into the ground and it's reliable day after day. Exactly what I'd expect from Honda but with 40 mpg average.
Favorite Features
Excellent mileage and robust hybrid system

Great car, good on gas, needed struts after only 40000 mi. Had brake shake in the front and grinding in the rear. Three year/36000 warranty isn't very good.

Can't beat a Honda
Vehicle
2003 Honda Civic Si 2dr Hatchback (2.0L 4cyl 5M)
Review
Never had a problem with the car. Gas mileage is great still get 29 on the highway. Never had it in for any work. I drive it a 100 miles a day and its just as fun to drive now as it was when I first bought it. I'll buy Hondas from now on.
Favorite Features
I have to say I love where they put the gear shifter, and the way the seats just hold you in place is a nice upgrade
Suggested Improvements
It would be nice if it would have come with a six speed and even a supercharger would be sweet

Great car

2003 Honda Civic LX 4dr Sedan (1.7L 4cyl 5M)
Review
The car is fantastic - everything I hoped for. It's not a performance car, but you knew that. Great MPG, very comfortable in the front seat.
Favorite Features
Excellent gas mileage. Very reliable.
Suggested Improvements
The back seat could be more comfortable, but this is not a luxury car. Space is limited.

My two cents
Vehicle
2003 Honda Civic Si 2dr Hatchback (2.0L 4cyl 5M)
Review
This is my first Japanese car and my first manual shift car. I bought it used (31000 miles) from a private party because I was looking for a used 2-door hatch-back gas saver with low mileage and light color (very specific am I?). GTI and Civic Si were my only options. GTI lost out in fuel economy (heavier car) and was mostly sold by dealers. I got lucky to find this babe. 8 months later I can say that I made a great choice! The reasons: 1. fuel economy (not at Prius level but kind enough to my wallet) 2. you don't see many of them on the road, unlike the Civic 4-door sedan 3. smooth and fun to drive 4. hatch-back (why don't they make hatchback anymore?)
Favorite Features
Body style, interior design, front seats, shift position
Suggested Improvements
Rear windows a bit small (bigger blind spot) and stock stereo no aux input

I love this car!

2003 Honda Civic LX 2dr Coupe (1.7L 4cyl 5M)
Review
Extremely well built car. Manual trans scoots around. So far I've had nothing go wrong or need to be fixed or even adjusted. I just put Michelin tires on it and it changed the ride dramatically for the better. If I had known this I would have done it when I bought the car. The OE tires were weak but didn't wear out quickly. Well, one issue is that the CD player can heat up on a hot day and cause a crackling on the audio output. To me it has been a minor issue that I've ignored. I've experienced this on other cars so.....What can you say about a car that has never had a single problem in over 4 years?
Favorite Features
Solid feel to the steering wheel and handling.
Suggested Improvements
don't ship this car with less than great tires. It really enhances the driving experience. All cars should find a way to cool the CD Player. Direct AC to it from behind or something.

2003 Honda Civic LX 4dr Sedan (1.7L 4cyl 5M)
Review
This is a really great car. I have had no mechanical problems with it at all. On the highway (55 mph) my LX (not hybrid) gets 47 mpg! It is about 30 mpg around town. The only two problems I've had? The car is VERY noisy driving down the road. In the job I just left, I would drive three 1-hr roundtrips and two 4-hr roundtrips. It killed my back. My legs would be nearly numb when I got to work.
Favorite Features
Gas Mileage. Very roomy in all the seats and the trunk.
Suggested Improvements
Put sound dampening pads/carpeting in the doors and trunk lid. Spray the bottom of the car with sound-dampener. Come up with softer and more supportive (where support is needed) seat designs.

As reliable as they come

2003 Honda Civic LX 2dr Coupe (1.7L 4cyl 5M)
Review
Have owned my Civic for over 3 years. Never had a single problem with it. I was rear ended a couple times for minor damages. The rear bumper is sturdy and does its job well. Gas mileage is good averaging about 28 mpg. Car is extremely responsive to weight change, you will definitely feel a change in how the car handles with extra weight on-board. Sound system is slightly above average.
Favorite Features
Reliability, gas mileage.
Suggested Improvements
Noisy at highway speed. Needs more power.
Very happy

2003 Honda Civic LX 2dr Coupe (1.7L 4cyl 5M)
Review
This car looks great inside and out especially the lighted dash. It is very reliable and gets good gas mileage. My first tanks of gas have given me 36,32,29,35 and 36 mpg with the last two being mostly highway during the summer. The most important thing about this car is the peace of mind it gives me knowing Hondas reputation for quality. But, this car is not fun to drive or comfortable (although Im 6'2" and fit fine) and is definitely underpowered. The car is also really loud. I still recommend this car though.

Gas mileage, looks, reliability

Softer ride, more power, quieter engine
My hot Civic.
Vehicle
2003 Honda Civic EX 2dr Coupe (1.7L 4cyl 5M)
Review
My Civic is one hot little ride. The engine is creamy smooth, 5 speed shifts the best of any economy car, Gas mileage is the best without it being a hybrid. Very comfortable seats. Great driving position. Nicely loaded and excellent build quality. Not the typical econo car cheap parts. This is my second Civic, the first was a '95 and it was very dependable and long running. You won't believe the excellent mileage. Quality, dependable, and long running.
Favorite Features
Ride and handling. ABS. Aluminum wheels. Sunroof. Gas mileage and cruising range. Driving position with nice armrest. Honda's quality and how nice the car looks. Quiet.
Suggested Improvements
Hmmm, maybe more power with the same gas mileage. Make the car fly. Oh, lower insurance rating too.
