I own a 2001 Honda Civic Lx and I was going to replace the brake pads on it, but when I went to take off the front drivers-side wheel, as I was untightening the lug nuts, instead of them coming off, they tore the entire stud clean in two about halfway down its length. this happened not once, but on three of the four lugs I tried to take off. apparently, somebody got a little ... Recently my 1999 Civic GX check engine light came on. I took it in for service. The GX trained tech at Garff Honda in SLC said that the code said the EGR had gone south. $163 for the part. Ten minutes to replace it. None in stock. I told him to order it. Apparently EGR valves have become quite complex since the last time I bought one for $12 and fit it to the top of my '66 Mustang. ... I've read the same thing. I will say I have had no problems filling to the brim for the last 4 years. I had a 2001 Honda Civic EX and I wanted to get an accurate mileage figure so I just filled it up slowly. I have just reached 105k on my 2001 Honda Civic LX. Manual suggests the oil change & filter, but also a timing belt change (including drive belts, timing belt, water pump), manual transmission flush & fill, coolant system flush & fill, and brake system flush & fill. Local Dealer suggests this will be $800 total package. What is a reasonable price for this service ... Read More...
