1995 Honda Civic 2 Dr EX Coupe
Review
When i bought my Civic 2 months ago it had 107,000 miles on it. the car, when new, had a proposed 125hp, i had the car dyno'd after a few upgrades and it topped off at 141hp @ 6800RPMs. not bad for a >100k mile car. my only problem is that the automatic tranny changes gears roughly...although this is a known problem with this model civic...and some auto tranny lube and conditioner helps dramatically.
Favorite Features
the VTEC and expecially not having to worry about breaking down. with the car i had before this, i was constantly checking my gauges...now, i don't even bother.

Over all a great car!!! Fun to drive, hugs every turn tight, GREAT gas mileage. VETC engine is great and has plenty of power in the higher RPM's. 5 speed manual is the way to go with the 4 cylinder engine!!! Great Buy!!!

I am the owner of a modded 95 D16z6 SOHC coupe. All's I have to say is the D series motors that come Stock in this car can be really fast. There are many bolt-ons and also Turbo and Superchargers that they make for this car. I would advise looking into that.
Favorite Features
I like the light weight of the car and the fact that the car can be easily modded.
Suggested Improvements
Possibly more comfortable seats these things really kill your back on long trips. I would also advise the EX coming with Rear Disc Brakes standard.

The sporty styling is just a babe magnet! The suspension and the handling is just perfect. I have the automatic shift but I sometimes shift it like manual when come out of traffic light to maximize the VTEC efficiency. When the VTEC kicks in around 5000 revs, you just feel like you are on a plane. Other than replacing the parts that are due, the car is absloutely worry free. My friends are surprised how roomy the little car is also. I have the ABS version and it just helps the snow driving tremendously. It's just a fun car. Did I mention I'm 6'3" and I feel fine in the car?
Favorite Features
VTEC engine. Moon roof. easy to use dash board. Acoustic Research speakers. Maintenance free.
Suggested Improvements
mroe solid holding on the rear speakers. More horsepower.

This is a very peppy car. The manual transmission is smooth and the routine maintenance is easy since the fluid resevoirs are very accessible. Extremely reliable. Still gets 35 miles/gallon.
Favorite Features
Zooms right up hills and passing on the highway is easy. Gotta watch the speedometer though, because 85mph comes along without a shudder.
Suggested Improvements
As was mentioned in a previous review, there is no buzzer indicating that the lights have been left on. I once was stranded with a dead battery due to this oversight. The paint is also a minor problem. There are a thousand tiny chips on my hood.

This car has been fantastic except if you air conditioner compressor ever goes out on you, you will have hell finding another one. Apparently Honda makes them with various different manufacturers of the part, so you don't know what type to put back in unless they tear it apart first (3 day job) and order it. Very expensive to have work done since everything is crammed under the hood everything has to be removed to service anything. Otherwise, great car!

I drive 25000 miles/yr and I love that my car isn't a gas hog. I need it to be reliable and not have too many maintenance needs. This car is great on tires and has been generally maintenance free. But lately, the maintenance has started to build up. I have 126000 or so miles on it. My speed sensor has been dying. I've had trouble with CV boots, bearings and a upper control arm. I guess all are acceptable for the miles I've put on it.
Favorite Features
Handling is excellent and I can park it ANYWHERE. Mileage was close to 50 mpg highway when new. Still gets close to 40mpg.
Suggested Improvements
The brakes/rotors have always been noisy but they work. Still, I'd feel better without the noise.

This is my go to work vehicle and I plan on holding on to this bad boy for as long as I can. I enjoy the low maintenance and my wife calls it a "babe magnet", but I tell her that it's not the car that attracts the babe's. ha.
Favorite Features
I enjoy the ride, reliability, comfort and gas mileage.

Best car I have ever had.

1995 Honda Civic 4 Dr LX Sedan
Review
This is my first Honda, and everything that anyone ever says about a Honda is true. My Civic has 85,xxx miles on it and is running like it is brand new. There are also limit-less parts or performance additions. The best thing I think about my Civic is its reliability. As another user said,"If you see a Civic with 100,000 miles on it, it is just a baby." That is so true!
Favorite Features
The comfort level in this car is outstanding. They appear to be small from the outside, but inside is spacious and the trunk is HUGE! Perfect for a system for a teen or luggage for an adult going on a trip!
Suggested Improvements
I would say to also give it a VTEC engine. The LX does not come with them, but if you want to add HP then just add intake and exhaust. That is a great addition as well!

1995 Honda Civic 2 Dr Si Hatchback
Review
The thing that I liked about my Honda Civic SI hatchback from the start is it's quickness. No, it's not a racer but it can get out of its own way easy enough. It handles well for a half- tuned econo hatch. The sheet metal is really thin though. It dents like an aluminium can.
Favorite Features
For a sporty car it gets good mileage, 30 mpg combined. Holds a surprising abount of cargo with the seats down. It starts every time, unless you leave the lights on, see below.
Suggested Improvements
Needs a buzzer when lights are left on. Sturdier driveline (CV boots, axles), toughen up the sheet metal. Need work on that road noise.
