After taking a used '95 del Sol for a
test drive and falling in love with it,
I decided to buy one new from the local
dealership. I drove other two-seaters
(like the Mazda Miata) and found the
del Sol much more roomier and it
performs better. My actual gas mileage
was over 30 mpg and I do a lot of city
driving. The top stores easily in the
trunk without taking up any trunk space
and because it's a hard top, it has
been great for winter driving as well.
The removeable hard top is my favorite
feature. This car is also very fast
off the start but with great gas
Power windows seem a little sluggish
near the top. Floor mats are difficult
to keep in place.
