Mechanical parts are still plentiful because the engine/transmission and most major components were shared with other Civic models. The '93 del Sol came in two trim levels- S, which shared mechanicals with the Civic DX/LX and the Si, which had the engine/transmission from the Civic EX/Si. I think Honda has overpriced the Civic. I'm sure that some people will pay the high prices at first just to be the first to have one. But remember, it is still a Civic with ONLY 140 HP. We had (and just sold) a 2000 Civic EX. It was a decent car but miserably underpowered -127HP but felt like 100, and was a complete drag to drive. I hate to say ... Read More

I sell Hondas and have about half a page of people who want to be called when a 5th, 6th, or 7th gen used Civic shows up on the lot. Lots of folks looking for GSRs too. The CRX (1988-1991) is slowly becoming a collector car. I predict the Integra Type R will be too. When buying our car we tested the civic lx and the elantra . The civic with a 1.6L 106hp was a very good car. It handeled well , accelerated very well (for its class) and it was a good buy for the price . The huyndai had the same features as the civic but it had a 2.0L 123? hp ( I cant recall the hp but its in the 120-130) ... Read More
