Tremendous Value...wish it handled like an Acura TL
By rengoh on
2013 Honda Accord Touring V-6 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
Applies to the Touring Model, FULLY loaded:
The bottom line is this:
The value is nearly impossible to beat.
Although the car ain't no Audi, if it had hydraulic steering, it could pass as an Acura TL hands-down and be priced as a $42,000 car--no joke.
In fact, technologically, its interior is far superior to the Acura.
If you are looking for a near-luxury, sporty family sedan under $35,000 that uses regular gasoline, then this is likely your car.
You just have to make sure you can compromise with the very un-Honda-like electric steering.
It's worth noting that the Altima is a serious competitor here, but the lack of rear-headroom and the lame sound system ruined it for me.
Oh. My. God.
It's tech-rich like a luxury car:
Adaptive cruise, push-button start, LED daylights/headlights, heated side-mirrors , a camera for rear and passenger-side blindspot viewing, great Navi, perfect bluetooth phone-pairing and usability, intuitive console and voice controls, audio bluetooth-streaming, and a KILLER sound-system (with smart-radio that controls volume with car speed).
The V-6 is a smooth, strong accelerator and boasts effortless highway passing ability.
The cabin is amazingly quiet for this class of car.
Finally, the car offers a HUGE amount of rear legroom and headroom that rivals luxury sedans. Fitting 5 people in this car is no problem.
--The car handles less nimbly with the electric steering and has some obvious body roll (not as bad as Camry!)...I miss the hydraulic, "tight" steering that made Honda cars sporty and fun.
This is the single biggest complaint I have
--The storage compartment spaces border on meager...make sure you check the spaces under the center console and next to the driver's seat to be sure they're adequate for your stuff!
--There is no longer a 60/40 split fold-down seat or pass-through, but rather a single fold-down...really??
--The foam in the perforated leather seats is a bit "mushy", but it's acceptable.
Sports mode is useless; it feels like a malfunctioning 4-speed that holds gears too long.
