Hi fishpotato, In my opinion you are comparing two different classes of car. For some reason North Americans are comparing Jetta's to Civic's. Just bought a loaded Accord EX with 0.2 miles on odometer. Did 100% financing at 2.9% and no trade-in. Total was $20500 OTD I think they must have 1-2K hidden incentive somewhere (in addition to the $1500) in order to sell at this price. Read More...

Even assuming the 750 is actual down payment (capitalized cost reduction) 160 @36 is like 45 a month below invoice (according to Edmunds invoice) which is like 1600 below invoice or just under 19k. Our family has leased 2 Jetta's, and we have an 08 Jetta SE now. We have not had any real issues with them. Just normal routines. The newer models have a great maintenance package now too. I have leased an 06 Accord, I had no issues with it either. I have had way more issues with my 08 G6 I have now than we ever had with a new car combined! I think you will be fine with either ... I'm not sure I understand your question. $20,100 is the total payment I will make for my 09 Accord LX. I am assuming the $1500 incentive is built into this final price as I am not getting any cash back or am I paying anything more. I hope this response covers your question. I just bought a 2009 Accord LX sedan automatic today from a dealership in Princeton, New Jersey. I paid $20,100 "out the door". This price includes all charges: NJ 7% tax, tag and (4 year) registration ($274), destination fee ($710), dealer document fee and a tire tax. Have you tried to find an auto loan yourself before going to dealer? I had a 3.59% for 48mons from one of federal credit unions based on my credit score. I showed it in front of sale person but they could not compete with it, so I used my own. Be prepared on both the price and the financing, the dealer won't hurt you badly. sdd Read More...
