The shift from gas to electric assist is seamless. Initially, it's seems strange to pull to a stoplight and the engine shuts-off when you break. As soon as you touch the accelerator, the car takes off like a vehicle with a regular gas engine. The drive is smooth with plenty of power for any condition we've experienced.
The gas/electric technology makes fueling the car a rare event. It also makes the car extremely quiet when running. There is plenty of room in the back seat for kids.
The trunk could be a little larger. With the batteries for the electric assist located just behind the rear seat, it takes-up trunk space.
