Honda Excels Again - Thrilled
Vehicle
2004 Honda Accord EX 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 5M)
Review
This is my fifth Honda, and I am absolutely immpressed with Honda's latest engineering in performance and ergonomics. Points in Fact: - Consistent 43.5 mpg on a road trip at 73 mph. - Absolutely handles like a dart through horizontal rain. - Excellent Sound System. XM Radio is a welcome plus. Wonderful! - I can stay in the saddle for hours. - Passenger comfort front and back. - The 4 cyl engine with 5-speed transmission avoids mischief and can certainly get out of a tight spot in a hurry. - Good visability around. I can drive this car knowing almost intuitively everything about my driving environment. I short, I won't be trading this horse anytime soon!
Favorite Features
Placement of driver controls and guages are my personal favorite. Comfort of seats/headroom/legroom top my passenger list. Dual heating A/C Hepa grade filtration of fresh air is wonderful. Exceptional gas milage. And to think I almost bought half of a car, the VW Bug. btw, it is a hauler too!

Michelin tires are noisy on rough roads. I love and hate them. I love because they are quick to alert you if you have driven past the white line, they are high-mileage, and they are not slippery anymore on wet or snowy roads as they were ten years ago. >Boink< Now I know why I love the tires too
We Love Our Honda

2004 Honda Accord EX V-6 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
Our car is a pleasure to drive--we feel like a million bucks in it. We traded in our 1987 Honda Accord with 250,000 miles on it for the 2005 Honda Accord V6. Our old car was great, but what an improvement in the 2005! It is the best car on the road. The only thing we are trying to rectify is a sound/vibration noise/feel under the accelerator pedal at times. The dealership is working on this for us. Otherwise we are happy campers, unless the dealer doesn't resolve this one problem. Time will tell. Thanks Honda Corp. for your fine automobile and keep up the good work and we will definately be another repeat buyer.
Favorite Features
Pick up off the starting line and power to pass another car in an emergency. In addition, we love the safe feel of the car, its quality interior, and the lines of the car. The car is intuitive to drive. The sun roof is an added plus. The backseat is roomy and comfortable. The cup holders A-OK!
Suggested Improvements
The only improvement is the vibration/ noise under the accelerator pedal at times. We had a loaner b4 and that 05 did not have the vibration noise under the accelerator pedal. So obviously it is not part of the the Honda Accord standard sounds.Inside the trunk after rain the runoff area needs help.
Brakes and rotors: F = Ma -dness?
Vehicle
2004 Honda Accord EX V-6 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
This car has a host of outstanding features--excluding the ABS and hydraulics. The rotors seem to degrade very quickly: The first owner was able to wipe them out after 25M! I had had the rotors resurfaced (twice!), but there are still problems, probably because they are so thin now. Now I can't bed-in the brakes, which could mean trouble on the freeway or in dense city traffic because of the huge stopping distance.

TERRIBLE SEATS
Vehicle
2004 Honda Accord EX 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 5M)
Review
This car is nice looking and has a lot of nice features, but comfort is NOT one of them. The seats are hard as a rock and we cannot endure trips longer than one hour. This car stinks. It's totally worthless on a trip. If you intend to buy a new Honda you had better test drive it for at least 2 hours. We really regret buying this vehicle. It is our first, and LAST, new Honda. This is not a quality car - it's a $23,000 boat anchor. If you want to buy a quality Japanese car, look at Toyota or Nissan. Toyota has a better warranty, and has rebates. Honda sales are declining. Now we know why. We screwed up. Don't you screw up too. You have been forewarned.

I put on 9k miles in 6 month, not a single problem. I got around 30 mpg with combined city/highway driving, very good mileage for a mid-size sedan. Great power and very comfortable. You won't go wrong with the accord.
Favorite Features
very nice display cluster, smooth ride. I like the look a lot too. good resale value

Review
I bought this vehicle from a used car lot, and was literally "sold" a few hours after first seeing it. The exterior is very attractive (except for a few dents left by the original owner!). The engine is efficient--you can ride comfortably without using "high gear." Happy with the car so far (23.5k right now, with 20k/year expected).
Favorite Features
Leather interior: classy, comfortable seating. Electrical system seems OK. Good suspension. Gas mileage OK (~ 30 mi/gal). Robust engine and good acceleration.
Suggested Improvements
Transmission issues: hard P-to-D transition and vice-versa. AT fluid must be replaced often. Brakes become inefficient after long drives from friction buildup; brake lifetime is seriously affected if vehicle is driven in heavy, stop-and-go traffic.

Honda has done an excellent job with realiability and resale value, but if you check their history (Consumer Reports) body integrity has always been an issue. This is evident in the 2004 EX Sedan I purchased. Six times the vehicle has been to the dealership, who finally isolated the issue, for a rattle/squeak/rubber rubbing noise from the driver's side door. It was determined that there is not enough insulation between the headliner and body of the vehicle. The repair involved the technician removing the headliner and placing foam tape inside the headliner. For the time being, the problem is fixed, but it's hard to stomach the monthly payment for something that rattles.
Favorite Features
Armrest that slides, telescoping steering wheel and steering wheel controls.
Suggested Improvements
Voice your rattle concerns to your dealership, persistance will pay off and don't be reluctant in calling Honda and voicing your concerns. I am not sure how the 2005 model is fairing, but after calls to Honda and discussions with the dealership, I think Honda is starting to realize there's problems

Have own the Accord for 9 months and I have put approx. 18,000 trouble free miles on so far. No squeaks, no rattles and fablous drive train (4 cyclinder 5 manual). All the power and performance I need and gas mileage is pretty good. Sporty handling as well.
Favorite Features
Love the dual zone heating and A/C. Also, the in dash 6 C/D player is nice feature
Suggested Improvements
Limited slip for the 4 cyclinder 5 manual would be a good addition for winter driving
Why pay more for an Acura?

2004 Honda Accord EX V-6 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I bought this car a little over 1 year ago and have already managed to put 27,000 miles on it. So far I have had exactly one problem that was covered under warranty. At about 10,000 miles the break rotors were warped rather badly, but the dealership resurfaced them and I have had no problems since. Gas mileage has ranged between 23 and 31 miles per gallon. Handling is much improved from the previous model (98-02), and the extra 40 horsepower makes a difference as well. The only reason I could think of for paying an extra $7 grand for an Acura TL is the styling and the 6-speed manual. The only thing this car needs is all wheel drive. Other than that, I would call it perfect.
Favorite Features
3.0 liter v-tec, 240 hp, heated seats, interior design
Suggested Improvements
illuminated steering wheel controls (honda fixed this for 2005), all wheel drive, 6-speed manual in sedan, exterior design is boring (whereas the Acura TL is, in my opinion, the best looking sedan for under $50k)
Give Me A Brake
Vehicle
2004 Honda Accord EX 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 5M)
Review
Loved the car until they told me my driving habits attributed to the rear brake pads needing replacing after 15k. Additionally, front rotors turned due to pulsation. I've had several cars that I drive the same, so why are my habits or city driving an issue when it comes to replacing pads already. I think that's a product fault or defect. My odyssey or corolla didn't suffer from my bad driving.
Favorite Features
Heated seats, radio steering controls, 6 cd changer, and 4cyl has lots of power.
