2004 Honda Accord EX V-6 4dr Sedan w/Navigation (3.0L 6cyl 5A) EX V-6 4dr Sedan w/Navigation (3.0L 6cyl 5A)
Bought one year ago at 175,000 miles and have no problems and has gotten more and more fun to drive. This is my dream car. Keep up on maintenance and you will have a great car for a long time! Thanks Honda!
V6 gives me plenty of power and acceleration. The stereo, sunroof, and look of the car gives me the all the fun I want in a car!
Perfect for the year!
2004 Honda Accord EX V-6 4dr Sedan w/Navigation (3.0L 6cyl 5A) EX V-6 4dr Sedan w/Navigation (3.0L 6cyl 5A)
I had a 1990 Accord for several years, sold it with 280k miles, current owner works at a tire store near me so I know it still runs! After the Accord, I had a 1999 626 and two 2002 Nissan Maximas (one an automatic, one a 6 speed). After I found out my Dad was replacing his 2004 Accord EX V6 with a truck, I offered to buy it. Only 75k miles and meticulously maintained. As much as I miss the acceleration of my 6 speed Maxima, the Accord is no slouch, runs about as well as my automatic Maxima did but with better mileage. I'm averaging 21-22 in the city (and the Dallas area has no clue how to synchronize traffic lights) and a trip to Kentucky and back got me 30.4 mpg at 75-78 mph!
The 3.0 V6 is a real jewel of an engine. Less torque than a VQ35 but noticeably stronger above 5000 rpms. Plus, while Honda doesn't advertise this, one of their engineers said that while the car was engineered to run on regular, using premium fuel allows more spark advance and you gain 10 hp and 10 lb-ft of torque. Is it worth the extra 30 cents per gallon? I think it is, at least around town. The interior is much more upscale than my Maximas, seats are better bolstered, love the huge speedometer. Fit, finish and panel gaps are excellent. Ride is a lot smoother than my Maximas but still gives you decent road feel.
The biggest thing I miss from my Maximas is the midrange torque, would have been nice if the Accord had the 3.2 from the Acura instead, even if slightly de-tuned to the 250 hp mark. Second biggest thing I miss? Factory HID headlights. Even the 8th generation Accords don't have them. Considering all of the Accords competition has at least the option of HID headlights, it just boggles my mind that they aren't available. I swapped in some Silverstar Ultra bulbs, which made a nice improvement but still not like having HIDs.
2004 Honda Accord EX V-6 4dr Sedan w/Navigation (3.0L 6cyl 5A) EX V-6 4dr Sedan w/Navigation (3.0L 6cyl 5A)
I have a 2004 Honda Accord EX-L w/ Navigation. This is the 2nd Honda I have owned and I still owe $6,100 on it and it is sitting in a transmission shop right now :( And my quote is $3,000 to fix it. The car is only 6 years old and only has 144,000 miles on and the transmission goes out, there is something wrong with honda's Transmissions and to keep there customers happy they need to make good on their product . I really used to love Honda's but not anymore, I have changed my mind and to anyone that is getting a review on this car before you buy it, I would say that it is not a good investment and I just would not do it, I would look at a Toyota before you go this route!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honda needs to come out and say that they have bad transmissions and make good on their product. I have also had problems with power steering and electrical problems. Just not a good buy if u ask me and that sad because I used to love honda's to death :( They lost a very valuable customer :( I am going to get a toyota now, at least they can admit that had a problem with there vehicles and corrected them.
We bought the EX V6 w/NAV new in 2004. We've put 114,000 miles on it and so far have only changed the oil and replaced the tires! We have had no problems with the brakes or transmission. The V6 gives excellent power so we can safely pass uphill if needed. Handles great - takes tight corners without making a sound.
We love the XM Radio, dual-odometer, trip computer, courtesy light, moon- roof, overall cockpit layout is smartly designed.
Could use an auto-dim rear-view mirror, free NAV updates, 12 mo. XM subscription, sunroof could tilt up a little higher. Too many voice commands to remember, and slow to respond-we never use them. Several steering wheel controls are uneccesary.
This is my 3rd Honda and kind of surprised I bought the 2004 because when I first saw the 2003 I was turned off by the styling. It looked as if some bean counters at Honda had to cut some where so they lopped the rear end off. It took me a good year to get use to it. When it came time to replace my 94 Accord(which we gave to our son)the 2004 still offered the most bag for the buck. All the bells and wistles for $26K was too hard to pass up. I just don't look back(at the back end of the car unless I have to). Matt-Maine
Got to love that V6 with 240hp and 30mpg's on 87 octane!!
Make it a lot easier to add things like fog lights, trunk net, window visors without having to go in for major surgery. Outpatient would be a lot easier. Lighted controls on the steering wheel. Manual 6speed on sedan.
I purchased a new 1986 Honda Accord DX in 1986. That car was with me through thick and thin. My new car is quite a step up. But the old car's reliability allowed for a big down payment on the new car. I test drove a BMW 325i, Infiniti G35 and Acura TL. The 2004 Honda Accord that I purchased proved to be the best buy for the money. A 240 horsepower engine that runs on regular gas sealed the deal for me. I would have liked the Acura but the Honda is the next best thing. I drive it daily and love the XM radio and Navigation. Voice recognition makes quit an impression on passengers. Leather seats are comfortable. The back seat space allows for maximum comfort rear seat passengers.
XM Radio especially in rural area that I reside. Navigation, calculator and heated seats are the bomb. A 240 horsepower engine that runs on regular gas.
Speakers could be better to accentuate the radio. But that assessment is nic- picking at perfection.
GREAT CAR FAST FUN TO DRIVE
My first Honda - I love it. Best part about our Honda Accord EX is that it is sporty but also a great family car.
The nav & voice recognition are cool!
None that I can think of.
My family usually purchases American made cars but these have had some reliability problems lately. We've tried to look at Hondas before but weren't happy with the sales personnel at the local dealership. This time the strong reviews and the resale value of the Accord made us take a second look at a Honda. We were fortunate to meet up with a good salesperson too. The Accord is well designed and has great acceleration. Very little body lean and sound handling on tight corners. Seats are comfortable and the ride is good. Good highway gas mileage. I would definitely purchase this car again!
Navigation system! My husband wanted this...but I'm a convert and pleased to have it. The only think I don't like about it is the annoying message that comes up when you turn the car on...that should be able to be turned off. Voice commands work so so and could be improved.
Needs lighted steering wheel controls and autolocking doors when car put in gear. Door lock stems stick up too far on the doorframe and almost pierce my arm when reaching in our rural mailbox. When the window lock is on, the driver can't open the windows usually just passengers are locked out.
Got the vehicle at clearance pricing which was a blessing on its own. Put on 500 miles in two days and the ride was a dream. Exterior style works because it seems to reduce wind noise when you have the windows down. Navigation system leads the way and is always out to impress others who share the vehicle. Love the fact that the nav screen is touch screen and that you can also use it to display XM Radio/CD/AM/FM (which shows Artist name & Song title), A/C controls & even has a calculator + calendar. Rear leg room is superb, trunk space is great for signs and quick getaways. Excellent on long drives (100 miles each way) and sharp handling reflexes. Took a fast turn and it handled flawlessly.
V6 power that can spin the wheels if you aren't careful. Volvo quality brakes. Nav system with A++ ease of use. Learned how to use it within 5 minutes. Voice commands to control everything you need. "Rear defrost" works great when it gets foggy. Smooth as butter on the highway and sharp on the turns
Offer AWD option for people in the cold climates. Slightly tune voice recognition. Add a percent to the calculator for mortgage calculations on demand. Otherwise, its perfect!
This car ia a dream. Navi is awesome and I never get lost anymore. Leather interior and very spacious! Handles like a dream, the same if not better than the audi and bmw that I test drove. Everyone who sees and rides in this car is impressed at the comfort, appearance, ride, navi system, voice activated functions, and style. This is a top of the line Honda with all the features you could want. For the price ($26,600)you get a fully loaded car. For a BMW at that price you get a steering wheel and 4 tires. BUY THIS CAR!! I am not really sure how it will handle in the snow but I'm sure I'll be fine
XM radio and navigation system. Great handling and feul economy
When will an AWD honda be available??
Just purchased an 05 Accord. The main change in styles was the rear tail lights. Compared this car with the Acura TL, albeit they are different cars. The quality of the accord is excellent by my standards. Creature comforts are really nice. I researched a number of cars and found the Accord to be pound for pound superior for the price. The final selling feature for me was this 6 cyl, 240 HP engine which uses regular gas! The quality of Honda is tough to beat. I've got a Civic with 280k miles on it and I only put several hundred bucks (above maintenance) to keep her going. In sum, if you buy this model I think you will be pleased.
Nav System, heated seats, power everything- and a 240 hp engine that uses regular gas.
An all wheel drive system in this car would dominate a broader market- I think.
reliable, quick, great economy, great resale, everything good except it is boring
have nicer tilt / tele steering, offer 6spd manual trans
By far Honda Accord is the best car out there! Reliability, durability and comfort all come into one with this extrordinary car! An excellent choice to purchase when shopping for a new vehicle. Beware of the dealerships that don't want to come down in price on them. For my particular '04 Accord EX w/ leather and Navigation, the dealer recieves a $1000 rebate to them. Make sure and get that money applied to YOUR purchase!
The 240 horses make it move off the line! The navigation system...even if you don't use it much, it's a very, very, very impressive feature to have and has come in very handy so far!
How can you improve on perfection?
03 Honda Accord V6 4dr with Nav, Instrumental light on dash board, fuel economy, seat fit well on the hip the value of car, we fell in love and purchase it. Navigation is a must who don't like to ask anyone for direction and/or look at map and argue. Dislike: the carpet are coming off from molding, black clips behind passenger and driver seats comes off, don't know what it's for, brakes coming downhill makes loud noise, air bag sensor light is on. On Navigation some of the building were 5years and older is not on the system. 2hours+ driving its not comfortable.
I am in sales and was in need of dependable and reliable vehicle that had navigation. I am die-hard Chevy fan and hard a time separating my feelings for another GM product. After several weeks of contemplating what car buy, I decided on the Accord. The Navigation system was far superior to Onstar and other competitors such as Nissan. I have owned this car one week and I am truly impressed with my purchase. I would recommend this car in a heartbeat. Just two weeks ago I was reading others testimonials and based on the positive feedback made the decision to buy the Accord and you should to.
Navigation and XM radio
Auto Headlights and speed sensitive door locks.
This car is just amazing!! Great family car and is so comfortable to drive and ride in. Navigation is so useful.
Navigation system, heated seats, sunroof, room.
I have been reintroduced to the pleasures of driving ever since I purchased my 2004 Accord. This car is powerful! Even after 5 months I am still surprised by its acceleration. Navigation, touch screen controls, XM radio and voice-controls are just incredible. I love driving again!
240HP-amazing. Navigation-more then I expected. XM radio-I bought a 3-year contract. 6 disc,in-dash CD player-excellent 180 watt system. Airbags galore-I feel very safe when I drive. Dual climate control-works great! Voice activation-Even when I'm alone in my car, I'm never really alone!
It's hard to suggest anything, but if I had to, I'd ask for an MP3 option for the stereo (my car plays my burnt CD's which are not MP3 format without any problems) and lighted controls on the steering wheel.
Great car, fast, reliable, sporty, looks good to the ladies too... V6 is good on gas, and plenty of power. Nice luxury for an affordable price. This is my 1st Honda and won't be my last...
Engine - V6 & 240hp, interior, Navi is great, handling is xcellent. Price...
Manual transmission (6MT) should be an option along with better rim package...
Very nice car for the money.
Good basic vehicle of sound quality and good design. The navigation system is lots of fun, however, don't throw away your road atlas--the system is a good traveling aid but not a crutch--double check their routing suggestions. The satalite radion system is also excellent.
Need daytime running headlights. Passenger seat needs height adjustment feature. Automatic door locks would be a helpful addition.
I bought this car in December and have loved it ever since. It drives as good, if not better thank a BMW or Lexus. The touch-screen navigation system is phonominal and easy to use. The controls are clearly marked. Seats are comfortable with ample room. Large, spacious trunk for storage. Would buy another in a heart beat. If anyone is not sure about buying one, DON'T WORRY! THIS CAR WILL KEEP YOU HAPPY AND SAFE!
Navigaion system, heated seats, voice activated controls, the yellow map light for driving, EVERYTHING!
the steering wheel controls for the radio and cruise control could be lit up, but are still very easy to find.
The car is good (when not in service) and fun to drive. After three months of ownership I had to take it to the dealer three times within days to get the battery and alternator replaced. After a while the power to the lighter was gone. Now it is sitting on the dealer's lot for a new starter. I think this car has an electrical problem. I am thinking of selling this car before the warrenty expires. Six trips to service in little over a year is just too much.
Handling, power, navigation system.
More hard keys for CD, Navigation control. Glove compartment light stays on even when the door is closed. Auto lock when the car is moving will be nice.
I have had the car for a little over 7 months. The car handles real well and accelerates like a demon. I had a 1999 Chrysler 300m before this car, and for the most part am glad I changed. Even though the Accord is 13hp less then the 300m it acccelerates faser and is much more refined. The Navigation system is a must have, but hasn't always steered me the best way. It doesn't always have the up-to-date info, and I have the newest disk.
240hp 3.0 L Engine (a varient of the NSX engine),Remote Auto-down windows, Navigation, XM radio even though you need to pay.
Heated & auto-retractable side mirrors (like on passat), Doors open automatically with pulling the inside door handle, AWD Way to program your system like the doors automatically locking at 15mph, and blue chip Technology like that found in the Acura TL would be nice.
This car has a lot of get up and go! The navigation system is excellent. The ride is smooth and quiet. It is the best driving car I have owned.
The navigation system is great and I love the XM radio.
Forget about the Camry. Forget about the "Psssssssst." This stylish Accord has sleek lines, curves, and a redefined rear-end. Top it off with the NAVI and XM and you're all set. The NAVI encompasses state-of-the-art technology in an easy-to-use format. The TL is nice, but do you really want to shell out the extra bucks? With almost 30MPG on a 240-HP V6, this car is fuel efficient, yet loaded with power.
It's all about the NAVI! It makes a rather dull trip more exciting. Love the sleek looking XM antenna - much better than a whip or a stubby antenna. Plus, you can pick out the 2004s easier.
HID headlights, daytime running lights. Radio: More XM presets; ability to scan through all stations using steering wheel controls.
great car specially at the gas pump, averaging about 30 miles to a gallon, prett good for a V6. And the nav system is great also.
too new, but tilt wheel lever kind of awkward. heated mirrors and daytime running lights would be great.
We used to drive a lincoln but switched to this Honda and have never regretted it, Look is great and it moves and gets great gas mileage. The navigation system is wonderful.
The EX V6 with Navigation has everything I look for in a car. It has all the high tech features I need. However, Honda has still left it perhaps intentionally a step behind the Acura TL.
Navigation, On-steering controls, white digits on display screen.
17" alloy wheels. Needs the rear end design of the Accord Coupe. The 4 door Accord has the ugliest, boxy rear design with tail lights that take up the entire width. The coupe has a cute rear. The current rear end of the 4 door looks awkward.
After owning 1 month and 1,000 miles on my '04 Accord V6 Sedan all I can say is this one is definitely "A KEEPER". I mean it's a no brainer It's no wonder it's been rated Motor Trend's one of the "10 BEST CAR OF THE YEAR" and consumer rates it the #1 HIGHEST RATING in crash test performance with the side curtain airbag standard on all EX V6.
Just love the sound of that V6 it's so smooth when it accelerates especially when the vtec kicks in and it begs you for some more like there is no tomorrow. The Navi WOW let's just put it this way I don't know where me and my family be without it.
Better exterior at least on the back part. Better gas mileage. Auto ON headlights. Bigger wheels.
This car is awesome!! I did a ton of research and this car is by far the best deal for the money. The TL is too expensive and the TSX is too small. I love my Accord.
Nav Unit/ Stereo
Awesome car! The Accord is a very well built, solid car and it's a joy to drive. Its roomy, comfortable and FAST. It is so quiet that the car seems to float on air - you see is moving, but you can not hear it. Plenty of features and easy to use instrament stack. The Navi system is worth the extra money and is extremely useful. The XM radio is great addition. The only glitch is that the front slope on the hood seems to get chipped easily.
Navi, XM radio, dual temp control, Seats, cabin room, combined key fob that locks doors and opens trunk, telescopic steering wheel.
The car should have auto on headlights, more powerful sound system, heated side mirrors, auto dimming rearview mirror, more pre-sets for XM radio (only 6 XM but 12 FM), the front slope seems to get chipped too easily.
This is my third Honda Quality did not match previous cars, leather seats keep a lot of heat, plastic finishes are not quite good, the windshield distorts the view, I took it to the dealership, the manager was suprised to see it, we checked many cars in the lot and he acknowledged that the deffect was in every car even in the Oddiseys! He was truly surprised of not seen it before and that none saw that detail before. The car accelerates and breaks very well however the the quality almost there but did not matcht my other cars.
Navigation System, Suspension, Breaks, Acceleration, features vs. Price
Ventilation in the leather seats, Windshield manufacturing, eliminate vibrations on the doors when the radio is at high volume, inside plastic finish
Exceptionally smooth, well put together vehicle. Performance is exceptionally quick and steady. The NAV system is well worth the extra charge
Navagation system, voice command, smooth performance
I have only had it 2 months. Traded in my minivan for a Honda. So far I am very pleased with the handling and the smoothness of the car. I will be taking it on long trips this summer and hope it will still be satisfactory!
I have enjoyed the ease of moving the steering wheel where I want it. I love the satellite radio! As well as the Navigation device. The seat warmer is also a plus on those cool mornings back in February and early March.
I would only change the seats a little. When I get into the car, I always seem to have a hard time getting into the seat because it is slightly curved and I have the seat forward because I am shorter than a Male driver. I hope I don't wear out the seat
i recommend honda accord to everyone. i have two. i rides like a expensive luxury car.
larger rims, and wheel base.
the handeling is excellent and the interior is great. diffinatly 10
engine and the dvd/navigation
the front head lights
It is like driving a luxury vehicle for a moderate price. Not one problem since I drove the vehicle off the lot 8 months ago.
Navigation system - voice activated controls, heated seats, acceleration, ride comfort - very relaxing
Need to use brake pads that are not so dirty. Wheels need frequent cleaning or look terrible. Windshield wiper controls are in position where they can be easiily activated accidently.
GREAT HANDLING, VERY PEPPY, A JOY TO DRIVE. I AM 6' 4" AND THERE IS PLENTY OF ROOM.
THE VOICE ACTIVATED NAVIGATION / RADIO / INTERIOR CONTROLS ARE GREAT.
NONE, THIS IS A WELL MADE WELL TOUGHT OUT CAR. WELL, ACTUALLY THERE IS ONE. BLIND SPOTS TO REAR CORNERS ARE BAD.
Not only is the Honda Accord 4-dr V-6 with leather interior and Navigation system loaded with all the luxuries, it rides like a dream. Power, performance and looks - My new car is a triple threat and I will always look to the Accord when I need a new car.
Navigation system and heated driver and passenger seats
Make the automatic day/night rear view mirror a standard feature
Traded 94 Camry for this beaut. New 04 Camrys just don't have rearend styling. Nav is wonderful and more than just where you are. Voice control is great and pretty accurate. Armrest extension is good idea as well as power outlet in the armrest for mobile phone (& a way to route the cord out with the top closed). Interior finish is topnotch, better than 04 Camrys.
Nav system. It's more than just identifying where you are. 2 cup holders in center console are the best. Can hold quart size bottles with ease as well as small 8oz size.
Outside heated mirrors and daytime running lights would be great. They are on the models sold in Canada.
I purchased this car about a week ago, with all the bells and whistles. I'm a 76 year old phart who has owned just about everything you can name from a 1950 Pontiac to a Mercedes 450 SL, and this is the most fun I've had in years.
The satellite radio and the navigation system is tops. My wife and I have been driving the back roads to see how it will get me home. Never misses
Automatic headlamps, Still too new to know what else.
They just keep getting better. This is our 3rd accord (4th honda). The improvements are incredible. Only wish I had more time to drive it.
navi xm radio heated seats voice assisted features
This is my first v6. Gas mileage isn't what i thought it would be.
great car overall, sporty, classy, easy to drive, fun to drive, has lots of power,
should be more quiet
I bought my Accord in Jan. and have 1000 miles on it with zero defects. I wanted an Acura TL with navi and they were going for MSRP with limited availability. The Accord is nearly as good - just lacking prestige. Once you get in the car and operate it, you feel like you are driving perfection. You forget you are in a Honda "family" car. This is the fastest and smoothest car I driven. It's a vast improvement over the '89 Acura Legend it replaced (except in styling). I added a rear deck lid spoiler, splash guards and chrome exhaust tips to improve on the plane-jane looks. It's good to go.
The powertrain on this car is smooth and powerful as though it were electric. I wanted air bags, ABS and traction control. The paint is gorgeous. I love the dash with it's bright instrument displays. I also like the voice controlled adjustments.
I wish Honda would have put MP3 playback ability on the basic sound system. On-Star would be great. Rear view visibility is poor, backing is scary. Needed options: VSA, rear view camera, tilt down mirrors, and high intensity headlights.
Just took delivery of my new '04 Accord EX V6 w/ NAV. I've done so much research here (thanks to everyone for your opinions and advise) and on other sites as well as auto mags, and I love the car. I sold my '01 Lexus IS300 and wound up with this great machine. Love the navigation system, voice activation, dual climate, heated seats and XM radio. Such a solid car. Comfortable, advanced, smart and CLEAN! Driving this car makes me proud. Can never get lost, get hungry, or go broke with it. Quiet interior, very roomy, large trunk, big muscles.
Navigation System, Voice Activation, XM Radio, Leather Seats and I love how clean burning it is :)
Would love to have some hooks in the trunk to "tie" down objects, file boxes for work. It would be great is there was "auto ON" for the headlights (like everyone else requests), memory seats w/ different keys, and self lowering passenger side mirror with put in reverse.
I have been an owner of a Honda vehicle the last 15 years. We have a 2002 Acord Ex, but this 2004 V6 with a Nav, system and Sat Light radio is the best of all the Honda. I just can't praise it anymore it a great vehicle.
I just have to say to word about the Honda EX V6 with Nav systemin it. IT JUST A GREAT VEHICLE.
NONE. IT the best vehicle on the road!!!!!!
This is with out a doubt my favorite car. I've owned Honda's throughout my life and this one is the best. It looks sporty, drives very well, and the sound quality is excellent!
I love the 6 disk changer and the navigation system. The sound is awesome.. I can get the bass I want without my entire car shaking and it sounds great!!
I don't have any improvements for this fabulous ride.
best car ive ever driven.
navigation system, heated seats, 240hp vtec engine
I love my Accord. Everything from the power, sound system, and navigation system shouts "expensive". The doors feel and sound German good. The service costs are quite inexpensive. I am also happy with the 16 inch wheels because I did not want the harshness that is inherent with larger wheels and tires. I will change the Michelins with something else in about a year since they are a bit loud on some surfaces and not that grippy. They are good but not up to what the Accord's suspension can do. Overall... great job Honda. I have owned Honda's since 1987 and I will probably own at least one for many decades to come, even if I were to hit the lottery!
The navigation system, acceleration, exhaust and ebgine sound, dual exhaust, steering, sound of the doors when opening and closing, the XM radio, heated sporty seats, etc. Too many to list. I find something new everytime I drive it.
I feel that the lowering cost of Xenon headlights and LED brake lights along with their low power use should allow all car makers to include this techology in any car costing over $20,000.
Past 3 years, Each year I have purchased new cars: Jaguar S-Type, Lexus LS430 and Lexus SC-430. You pay dearly for high-end cars. I decided try out the 2004 Accord EX V6. The only things I am "giving up" from all my previous cars are memory seat, auto lights,(there's an off feature)and fog lights. I purchased the rear-view mirror w/ the sensor as an accessory. The car is quieter than my Lexus SC430 and rides smoother. I was getting 17 mpg and now have improved my mileage drastically. The interior is well designed for convenience and comfort. I plan to hang on to this car and if I do, what a testimony it will be for Honda.
Navigation (many voice commands available), HomeLink, Sunglass Holder, Tray for my cell phone and power within the arm compartment for it, Power Seats with great lumbar support for driver, Roomy back seat, Long time before first main service on car (105,000).
Memory seats, Trunk needs to have more hooks or something to keep things from moving around, Lumbar support for passenger seat, make sensor rear-view mirror standard equip and chrome the exhaust pipes standard (I purchased as accessory)
This is my third Honda Accord EX since 1991 and my second with the 6 cylinder engine. I went looking for a year end purchase of an EX with the 6cyl and Navigation. The navigation is a feature everyone should consider if they do any traveling or city driving. In city driving the voice command of radio and climate control is a very nice benefit. It allows more focus on the road. All in all, this is a very good value for the money. Also, I will likely subscribe to XM radio after the trial period. It's quite good.
Navigation and voice command. XM radio
The car only lacks one thing that all cars in this class should have. Fully automatic headlamp. It has auto-off, but unfortunately to use that forces you to live with auto on with no regard to daylight conditions.
Traded in our 2001 V6 Accord Coupe for the 2004 V6 Accord Sedan. Loved both cars, but the 2004 feels like a luxury car without the big $ price. Test drove the Acura TL but couldn't justify the extra 8K for 30 HP, heated mirrors and 200 watt sound system. Recently drove in heavy snow in northern Michigan and it handled like a dream. Could not be happier. Navigation upgrade in 2004 was tremendous. Currenly own a 2003 Pilot, and the Navigation upgrade with Voice and larger screen are great. XM radio a great feature, plan on buying it after my 3 month free preview.
Very smooth ride and quiet cabin. 5 speed automatic is very smooth shifting and accelerates well.
Heated mirrors, more powerful sound system then it would be the Acura TL
I traded in my 2000 Acura 3.2 TL at the end of my lease and "downgraded" to a 2004 Honda Accord EX-V6 w/navi. WOW! Up until that point, the Acura was the best value for a near-luxury car I could find. But this Accord is bigger, faster, has more gizmos you actually USE, gets better mileage, and is about $100/mo less in a payment. The warranty is a year less, but with a Honda you won't need it anyway. If you are thinking about an Acura, check out the new Accord first!
Room, comfort, value, performance.
A sport package that gets you what the coupe offers without giving up 2 doors.
The Accord is truly an overachiever and provides you with the amenenities and performance of a $35k+ automobile (i.e. the Acura TL that I'd almost bought before I decided to test drive the Accord). The 6 cyl. is absolutely necessary for anyone interested in not being a turtle. The nav system performs remarkably well and the new voice controls are very accurate and provide control over the majority of the cars features, all without forcing you to take your eyes from the road. (This becomes very important as the Accord likes to move as an Ohio State Trooper pointed out before I'd even managed to shed my temporary tags.)
As I mentioned above, the navigation system is a sheer delight to use. It's one of the best investments I've ever made in a new car purchase.
I would love to see automatic headlights (photo-cell controlled) and (to steal a page from the Acura) bluetooth capability added to the navigation system.
My accord and all accords are probaly the best cars out there. I have no regrets about my decision
The curtain Airbags and the easy to use Navigation system
rear wheel drive
Wow! Exceeds all expectations. Luxurious, moderately sporty, good fun level. Excellent fuel economy on reg.grade gas. No return to dealer needed in 14k miles. It feels like a 40 thousand dollar car and I paid 13k less than that.
Voice Command Navigation is a hoot! Absolutely wonderful !! It's a blast, and a great safety factor, to control the HVAC,, the audio, and the navigation by voice.
4 wheel drive option.
Bought another Honda. This makes the sixth Honda product my family (3 people) has purchased over 15 years. The EX V6 with Navi has all the goodies. The biggest improvement is the silky smooth transmission, now a 5 speed, power and rigidity. Its simply a ball to drive! Why pay $35-$40,000 when you can get the whole package for under $27,000.
240 hp engine and still gets 30 mpg on the highway. Wonderful transmission and handling. Ergonomics, seats, position and knobs/switches are all in the right place and easily understandable.
The colors need to be more traditional (Noble green?) Also, why not the ability to select interior color regardless of exterior color? Silver exterior only comes with black interior. Have you ever tried to clean a car with a black interior??
I WAS NOT TO MUCH FOR THE EXTERIOR STYLING...BUT THE INSIDE IS GREAT AND THE PERFORMANCE IS OUT OF THIS WORLD FOR A HONDA ACCORD!!!
DUAL CLIMATE CONTROLS AND HEATED LEATHER SEATS!!
PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO THOSE UGLY BACK LIGHTS!
I sell real estate and I get a lot of compliments on the car. As a full time driver with 30-35 thousand miles a year on a car I am in this automobile a lot. There is a clunking sound when you turn corners, back up a distinctive shift clunk! I hate that about this car.The second thing I did not like was the navigation system was not up to date. Any street that is 5 years or more was indicated on the system, but new things are not. They tell me the disks are updated every 5 years. In a area where there are new subdivisions and it constantly grows you need more up to date CDs. On star gives live up to the minute information.
Has many features for the price. I sold my old 1994 Honda Accord with 210,000.00 miles for just over $3,000.00. I do not think I will loose money on a trade in and they hold their value, just want Honda to know they have a few improvements to make get 100% ranting from me.
Needs to fix the clunking sound, less play in shift! On Star Navigation! MP3/CD player. Lower Price would be nice too! The CD player will not play burnt cds from your computer and I am unhappy they did not offer MP3 with the CD player.
03 vs. 04 seat belt warning system and automatic front air bag deactivation system upgraded Navi DVD and software (20030629). For example, elevation is now accurate to 10 feet. XM is really nice. I never thought I would ever pay for radio, but I just might when the free three month OEM package expires. The drivers seat hip support is much softer. Electric seat are smoother running. On the 03 the seat edge was very firm/stiff. NO RATTLES in the 04. The 03 that I had was a rattle trap. The car suspension seems more compliant and it feels to me to ride much smoother AND quieter. Fit and finish seems much improved (tight gaps).
240HP, Navi, Integrated XM radio, Whole interior, overall value
Auto on headlights, Lighted steering wheel buttons, 280HP :)
First a word of advice... save up for the Honda Accord EX with Navigation. While it seems like a $1950 toy it just SEEMS that way. It is an AMAZING total computer...not just a route-finder like so many others. Now onto the vehicle as a whole. You will not find a vehicle in the 24-26k range (after haggling) that comes close to this car in any way. In fact I would put it up against any BMW 3 series and a substantial test drive will have you feeling the same.
XM radio, Navigation COMPUTER, and Curtain Air bags
I would like auto on headlights (I'm SO lazy) and a more sporty alloy rim.
Simply a great car. Bought for the wife. Lots of airbags. Good power to efficiency ratio. Low road noise.
Voice activated features is very cool. Tell the car "Temperature 68 degrees," and she obeys! No fumbling for dials. The navigation is very cool. I want another one for me.
Memory seats. 60/40 Split rear seat. Better warranty. Customer loyalty discount (this was my 3rd Honda).
Wife totaled our Lexus, (just a small bruise). Did about 6 weeks of research. Honda always came out on top. only about 200 miles on it, no complaints so far. I like it better than the Lexus, for about $10,000 less. The 240hp will flat move you on down the road. Takes a few days to get use to the Nav,CD and radio controls. Nav is awesome, and I really like the XM Radio. Buy it, you won't be sorry.
Navigation, XM Radio, Layout of dash and the whole interior scheme. Leather is top notch
Better color choice's and upgrade tires
We traded up from the 2002 EX V6, an excellent car. But now it's like wow! The sound system is better. The navigation system. The interior room even larger. Performance with the 240hp V6 is breathtaking. The ride is more sportier this year with 16"wheels and a tighter suspension but still very comfortable. The drive by wire(no throttle cable) actually gives smoother throttle response, especially from a stop. Dual climate control is heaven. You can have the vehicle do or change whatever you want it to do just by asking it. Great voice recognition and the trip computer with all its various function are great.
240hp V6, Navagation system voice control and feedback Trip computer with multiple functions. More room. Better handling. Dual climate control. More comfortable seats with warmers. More aggressive styling. The '02 was a great car,but the'04 is much much more.
Memory settings on electric seats and mirrors for multiple drivers.
