Hi, My mechanic tells me the diagnostics report says the ORVR on my 1999 Accord V6 has failed. Well, at 110,000 miles it's about the first thing that ever broke so no big deal. However, he says it's 7 hours of labor because he has to remove the gas tank and a lot of other huge and ugly stuff. 2010 Accord LX - $145 + state tax per month for 36 months 12k miles per year Initial down 1999, 299 doc fee, 595 acq. fee, 125 tax+registration Here's the breakdown of that deal... $1999/36 (months) = $55.52 a month more if no money was put down. I have a 1999 Honda Accord 4 cylinder with 199,000 miles. It runs well. I never did any maintenance to the transmission. I last changed the timing belt at 95,000 miles. I was wondering if I should change it again or put the money towards another Honda? How many miles can I reasonably expect from this car? Thanks for your help. Read More...

I didn't change my belts until 185K on my 1999 Honda Accord coupe, so that's a testament to the reliability and durability of Honda automobiles. On the otherhand, maybe I just got lucky. My 1999 Honda Accord Coupe LX with V6 vtech engine, will not start sometimes... I go to start it and it will not crank and sometimes if it does crank, it's a rough idle, then shut down and then it won't crank for four our five more attempts. I meant to say a quart of oil every 300-500 miles. Yesterday, I picked up a quart of the Lucas Oil stabilizer and will see if that helps. The guys at the auto parts store said that using a lot of oil is very normal for higher mileage Hondas. They also suggested going to a heavier weight oil. Read More...

Okay...an update Today i picked up our Leased Honda.... In the end...here is what i got from a 3rd party dealer $227.90 a month 12K miles 36months $1960 down (tax, bank fees, NY plates, etc) With insurance...comes out to 350 a month.... Final thought.
