Re: class leader [kdshapiro]
As a car that I would buy, it's last on my list, but I wouldn't hestitate to recommend it (and I have) to people looking for a family sedan. KDShapiro, What's first on your list? What do you drive now? I disagree with your comments regarding Ford but understand that you are entitled to your opinions even though they come mighty close to bashing a manufacturer, in my ... Re: What do you want from your midsize sedan? Top Ten [urnews]
Good humor, thegraduate. Gave me a chuckle. As the owners of a 2007 SEL AWD Fusion ($27,105 MSRP) my wife and I do take pride in the fact that we own a car that is more distinctive than the plain Jane Asian models that proliferate the highways. Sometimes it is good to be a little bit different and the Fusion is a fine example of that. We thoroughly enjoy our car. Then again, ... Read More...
Re: more pricing data points [leadfoot6]
I chose a Taurus once and that turned into a costly mistake. Now I choose to buy Hondas. An interesting quote. We must be outside of the norm because neither my wife or I have ever owned a Honda or a Toyota. We have, however, owned two Mazdas, a new 1977 GLC (puddle jumper) bought new and a 2000 Miata convertible bought new. Both were fine cars but we bought a 2007 SEL AWD ... Read More...
Re: 2008 Honda Accord [csandste]
I don't remember a non-conservative Accord since 1990. I don't mean they have been bad-looking (I'm partial to the 1994-1997 design) but they certainly have been conservative for nearly 20 years. Read More...
Re: 2008 Honda Accord [backy]
I know I'm biased since I have one, but the Gen 5 (1994-1997) Accord had the best combination of being unoffensive yet stylish with the shoulder line that ran the length of the car. Read More...

Re: 2008 Sedan Spotted [masternc]
My first impression lends me to see this car as having the front end the Acura RL should have had. In fact, the whole shape looks better to me. Once again, the design goes back to conservative. In 1990-1993, the design was squarish. For 1994-1997, Honda played up the angles. Then, in 1998, Honda squared stuff back off, and went conservative, eliminating some character. ... Read More...
Re: Our 2007 Fusion [backy]
But then, you didn't buy the Fusion for its fuel economy, did you? Your are correct Backy. However, I foolishly thought it might actually deliver the original EPA estimate of 19 city (since revised downward by the EPA to 17 mpg city). For the first 2,000 miles the car was stuck at 13 mpg but it has improved to 14.8. I didn't think a 4 cylinder would be powerful enough ... Read More...

Re: TOV ACCORD News [thegraduate]
I just noticed something (or thought of it anyway). The Honda speedometers have been climbing in top-speed for years, at 10MPH per model. 1986-1989? 120 MPH. 1990-1993? 130 MPH. 1994-1997: 140 MPH. 98-02: 150 MPH. 03-07: 160 MPH. Just mildly interesting. Will the 2008 Accord have a 170 MPH speedo? :) Read More...
Re: honda vs tsx [elroy5]
Most of what is on here is just opinion, ego and people justifying their purchase (with some technical facts tossed in). With that in mind, I've owned many cars to date. 3 series, now the TSX and about 4 other honda products. The reason I love honda products stems from driving a 1990 Honda Accord EXR. I could not believe how great that car handled and moved for 130hp. ... Read More...
