1994 Accord Break Light Problem
I own a 1994 Honda Accord with a break light/rear light problem. Whether the car is on or not the rear light (dim light not the break light but still the same bulb) stays on and wont turn off unless i disconnect the battery. I checked all of the fuses and the lights still stay on. Does anyone else know what is wrong with me car? Thanks Read More...

Re: info [biker4]
1994-97 Accord DX/LX didn't get VTEC, only EX did. With MY1998, DX didn't have it, LX/EX did. With MY2003, all got i-VTEC. So, it is possible that Honda will put A-VTEC only on EX, while lesser trims get i-VTEC. If EX does get 200 HP, I'm wondering what next TSX will be like. It currently gets 205 HP from 2.4/i-VTEC compared to 166 HP from current Accord 2.4 courtesy ... Read More...
Re: 08 Accord Sedan (Price and New features) [thegraduate]
The 1998 Accord EX-V6 (under $25k MSRP) was cheaper than the previous 1997 model ($25k and change MSRP), if I'm not mistaken. Yes, and there was a reason for it. 1994-97 Accord chassis wasn't designed to carry V6. When Honda decided to offer that choice, they had to revise the chassis which also resulted in "longer" Accords which carried V6. Costs were passed down ... Read More...

Re: There is NEWS! [qbrozen]
"as far as this whole business about "dramatic styling"... no, the civic sedan is not dramatic. Sorry. The coupe, yes, to a degree. I think why most people call Honda's styling bland is because their cars never make people go "Wow!! that's hot!!" The only cars they've ever done that with are the NSX and S2000." Well I think the 2004+ TL does have a little wow factor ... Read More...
Re: Yes.... a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry ... [baggs32]
Given that Chrysler and Dodge's ad campaign is the same "stuff" your spewing in your forum posts, I'll say they will have a tough time convincing indeed. CR doesn't agree with you that the gap has closed. Until CR agrees, I don't agree. Dodge claimed they weren't the "old" Dodge back in 1994. They were the NEW Dodge in 1994. Who's to say that Chrysler is now "new" again ... Read More...
Re: Yes.... a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry ... [oldcem]
Whoa - my friend. Our last 6 Chryslers lasted longer than our last 3 Hondas did. Interesting. Our experience with Chrysler would show that 6 Chryslers might have the combined lifespan of 3 Hondas! I'm at 174k miles on the '96 Accord, and it hasn't stranded me yet. Has it needed some repairs? Of course. Any car with that many miles will, even so-called "perfect" Honda. ... Read More...

Re: Motorized shoulder belt [thegraduate]
thegraduate, As a certain ex-president used to say, I can feel your pain about letting that '93 EX get away from you. Your comments confirm my impressions from driving the '90 LX the other day. In spite of its slight front end vibrations, it was amazingly smooth and quiet at 70 mph. It just seemed so well put together, and this was a 167,000 mile car that needed a little ... Read More...
Re: 2008 Honda Accord [csandste]
I don't remember a non-conservative Accord since 1990. I don't mean they have been bad-looking (I'm partial to the 1994-1997 design) but they certainly have been conservative for nearly 20 years. Read More...
Re: 2008 Honda Accord [backy]
I know I'm biased since I have one, but the Gen 5 (1994-1997) Accord had the best combination of being unoffensive yet stylish with the shoulder line that ran the length of the car. Read More...
