honda accord 1993 sedan idel and gas problem

i have two issues with my car and the both about a mont apart the first porblem is that when my car gets up to normal tempture its starts to idel funny the idel gauge goes up and down between the 1 and 2 markes, but this only happens when i put the car in park and neutral. and my second problem is my gas gauge dose not work it always shows that i have no gas any advice on what going ... Just to chime in that some dealers do this. My first Accord (1993) I bought with the understanding they were putting in the CD changer and alarm. Come delivery day, it had a Sony aftermarket changer, and an Automate alarm - same price as the Honda ones, of course. I have a 1993 Honda Accord LX. I am having a problem with shifting the gears. Regardless if I go from Park to Drive or Reverse, there is a hard shift (you feel it like someone thumping you). And its annoying like that too. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem could be; other than rebuilding the transmission? I appreciate all helpful suggestions. Read More...

I think people make trade-offs. The difference between best in class and worst in class is statistically significant but not actually significant. If a Toyota needs to go to the dealer once every 5 years, and the VW needs to go every 2 or 3 years, its worth it to me to have a more fun to drive car. Just to add another 2008 Accord V6 navi mileage (just about 5000 miles on the car) to the list: Around town local driving with my lead foot I get around 17MPG - about the same as my prior Subaru Outback Turbo four cylinder which was rated that year at 250 horsepower. My suggestion would be to look up the parts you need at one of the 2 bigger muffler manufacturers. www.maremont.com or www.walkerexhaust.com Both will have online catalogs showing the parts you need. Factory type welded exhaust systems are common, you should find them on their web sites. Look for their online catalogs or e-catalogs (whatever they call it) ... Read More...
