Test drove 1 - awesome driving experience. Great ride, perhaps better than the standard CVT or Sport model. Good acceleration, easy freeway merging, ultra quiet and smooth.
The styling, is mixed. The front end looks much better in person. Unfortunately, wheel covers were disappointing. While they don't look too bad, a wheel cover, especially on a
$40K+ car regardless of the slight aerodynamic advantage, is not right. Seems like Honda could have done better. The trunk space is very small as well. Specs have it as slightly more than the Fusion Energi, but both are quite small for a midsize sedan. No optional leather or color options is irksome given the $$$.
Ride and driving experience are awesome - so smooth and quiet. Great dash and controls, lots of safety features, superior fit and finish for interior.
Leather option, more interior and exterior colors, proper wheels, redesign battery for greater trunk space,
runner 1000, Accord non-plug in hybrid is not here, but it will have a much smaller traction battery.
The car won't plug-in or be expected to run like an EV for long distances or higher speeds.
Hopefully the Accord hybrid trunk will be as big as Camry hybrid trunk or bigger.
Camry hybrid only has a small square for rear seat pass through and only the right rear seat folds down.
The Accord non-plugin hybrid is to be released this Fall (I was told first week of September), only priviledged have seen it.
But, since Accord Hybrid is not a plug-in, the battery will be much smaller and trunk much bigger.
Hopefully the trunk has as much space as the new Camry Hybrids.
I think trunk space and usefulness is key for customers looking at sedan hybrids.
