We had the same type of problem with our 2003 Yukon and then eventually the speedometer stopped working. Come to find out there was a recall on the instrument cluster panel. So we put it in the shop and had it replaced free. Well it worked fine for a few months but then we started having the same problem again and now our RPM, speedometer and gas gauge have all stopped ... Read More
2010 GMC YUKON SLT, 16,000 miles. Randomly on starting the RPM's will go to 4000 and the only way to disengage is turn off the ignition. Starting again, everything is normal. I have taken to my dealer and the shop foreman ran all the diagnostic tests. No results. He is going to canvas other Yukon dealer shop foremen for simailar problem and what they did about it. Dealer is one of ... Read More
Well, I posted on her back in Oct 2010 (#67) regarding our 1st incident with our 2007 GMC Yukon XL 1500 which we had to take in because the engine blew pistons/rods due to chronic low oil levels which were not being addressed/taken quite as serious as needed by the dealer. I was consistently told it wasn't an issue until one day the vehicle began "slipping" as I was traveling with ... Read More
I have 2010 GMC Yukon XL (19K miles). I think no one had problem with the car that new yet on this forum. I was getting off the freeway when I got lights on: first Traction Control Off and then Reduced Engine Power. But instead of reducing the engine power car totally shut down in the middle of the big intersection. I was lucky it did not happened on freeway with ... Read More
Agreed. I got by fine for 20 years without keyless, electronic ignition and all the other goodies too. But once ya have keyless, it's hard to go back to not having it. Once ya have remote start, it's hard to do without....and once ya have 2-way transceiver remote, it's hard to go back to a factory fob that only works from 10-50 feet and can't give you any status feedback. You ... Read More

Hello My Fellow GMC Owners! I am posting my recent ordeal with my 2007 GMC Yukon, because I too am extremly frustrated with the incidents and mainly GM, and their poor products, and customer service. Over the last month, I had three seperate incidents whereby I was driving and the check engine light would appear, and within moments, the engine reduced power message flashes, and the vehicle loses power. Luckily, each ... Read More
Cadillac Escalade ESV factory equipped with 22" wheel/tire combo, which has less sidewall (reduced road shock absorption) than what is factory installed on the Denali, and the NEW Escalade (4 miles on the odo) rode butter smooth. Our old 2007 Yukon XL had the same exact tires w/20" rims (factory combo). There's something definitely wrong with the Denali, but GMC hasn't done anything yet to attempt to find the problem - ... Old vehicle traded in was the 2007 Yukon XL (premium suspension - not autoride equipped). New vehicle 2010 Yukon XL Denali w/autoride suspension. Upgraded in cost/features - downgraded in suspension/ride quality. Researched parts for Denali vs. Escalade and both are the same (except for Electronic Suspension Control Module - probably to eliminate service department errors when the Tech II is plugged in). Drove a new Escalade ESV. Ride quality is night ... Read More
Problem with Autoride as it enhances everything driven over to the extent of being physically exhausted when taken on rough highways/roads. Come to a stop and vehicle rocks on tire pressure with no forward weight transfer/front suspension compression. Going over speedbumps it produces delayed front/rear suspension compression (feel a 2nd bump as suspension finally gives). Pulled 30 amp Autoride fuse and conditions go away. Standard 20" factory rims/tires on vehicle. Have ... Read More
Hi searayboater1. General Motors is not providing lease support on 2010 models any longer. You can, however, lease a 2011 GMC Yukon Denali through Ally right now. Ally's current base lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 Yukon Denali 4WD with 12,000 miles per year are 3.5% and 49%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease are 3.5% and 47%. Car_man Host ... Read More
Hello nring. GMAC's current base lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 GMC Yukon Denali AWD with 12,000 miles per year are 0.4% and 42%, respectively. As you can see, GMAC publishes lease rates instead of money factors for the vehicles that it leases. You can convert its published lease rates into approximate money factor equivalents by dividing them by 2400. $900 over dealer invoice ... Read More
