2005 GMC Yukon SLE Rwd 4dr SUV (4.8L 8cyl 4A)
Yukon has a very high center of gravity:
ours fish-tailed and rolled over. No
one was hurt but it was totaled. IF
they dropped it 3" front and rear it
would look more like a station wagon
and handle better, with less wind
reistance, but look like a latino low
Also a recall performed on its ON-Star
resulted in a short and caused its
battery to run down. This required more
than dozen trips to various dealers in
order to correctly diagnose & fix.
Before GMC performed its computer chip
recall, we were able to get 20 mpg on
the highway. Afterwards 18mpg.
Fronts Seats in the SLE were as
comfortable as any luxury car, and it
was very quiet. Inspite of the high
center of gravity, Yukon handled very
variable hight suspendsion, anything
over 25mph it should squatdown, when it
again when it parks it should squat,
in order to improve entrance and exit,
like a magic carpet or cammel.
3rd row seats are too heavy to remove,
should fold flat.
