HEY GUYS I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM FOR A YEAR. TOOK IT TO GMC A FEW TIMES AND THEY COULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC AND HE REPLACED THE STEERING SHAFT AND IT WORKED. HE ALSO SO SAID THAT THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS PART BECAUSE HE HAS SEEN THIS PROBLEM FROM 2001 THRU 2005 DANALI. OUT OF POCKET COST PARTS AND LABOR $241.00. Read More...

All I can say is A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!!!!!!!!!! My son has a 2004 GMC Yukon and first it had a short in it that was draining the battery. I got that fixed. Then the speedometer cluster went out. $600 at GM to fix it, but I found a guy on E-Bay that fixed it for $64. I have a 2004 Yukon Denali. I do not know if this is due to the navigation system itself or the version 2.0 disc that came with it but you have to come to a complete stop in order for changes to be input (ie. a new address). I had a similar problem with my 2004 yukon denali xl. It died 4 times in the first 6 months of owning it. It was in and out of the dealership with all kinds of repairs, reprogramming and replacements in addition to an examination by a special GMC engineer. I feel your pain! I have a 2004 Yukon with no instrument cluster and now I have the same problem...did you ever find a solution??? My husband is very good w/vehicles and is at his witts end....high payment, cant afford $365.00 for the cluster let alone to fix this...Im going to have to let it go back.
