I had the same problem after a dead battery. For a few owners, disconnecting battery for 30 min. reconnect resolved the issue. The majority of us, it doesn't. Just try reconnecting the battery. There's something goofy that happens when you mess with the battery but, by disconnecting it and re-connecting it, the problem seems to go away. I have seen some comments about unplugging the A/C Fuse and plugging it back in, to reset the system. It takes a newbie about an hour to install. The OEM version (unlike the Arnott pump) comes with the dryer, I believe, which makes it even easier to install..... Ok guys... this chick just disconnected the negative battery cable and then reconnected it. The air conditioner digital panel is now working, but the air is only blowing through the defrost...but it's COLD!!! Thank goodness! I have a 2004 GMC Yukon 4WD...the speedometer and odometer stopped working(the other gauges are fine), and the transmission will not shift into 3rd gear. no check engine lights...I replaced the VSS sensor which did nothing. I am considering removing the existing rearend and installing a rearend from either a 1999 or 2004 GMC Denali, which have the same gear ratio and same 8-1/2" ring gear size. Thanks it took me a while but I discovered it was the u joint needing oil. Unfortunately on the 04's you have to replace the u joint, on the newer models you can collapse the joint and apply oil but I apreciate the help.
Bushing(s)... I would check the sway bar bushings and also joints/links. I have used WD-40 before (lubricant that can be washed off with water if necessary) to locate the cause. Good Luck!
I have a 2004 Denali XL that has a squeek at the front but it's not the brakes. The squeek only comes from a full stop to about 30mph while accelerating. When it rains for a few days the squeek goes away untill it gets hot and dry. Can anyone tell me where to start looking.

I had a similar problem as mentioned in my previous post. The Torque Converter did not fix the problem and after an extensive process of elimination (swapping part from on Tahoe to another) they found the cause :) . I think the nav disc version is currently (last time I checked) at 4.1; where one can be purchased depends on how much you're willing to pay for it. Unless you have a nice business relationship with the parts and/or sales manager at your favorite GMC dealership, you will need to shell out quite a few bills for the disc if bought at a dealership. iIt may be a problem in the muffler. To fix it, they have to put on a new exhaust system. But, the fix only lasts about 30,000 miles.

Tell the service department try to look for a loose baffle in the muffler. I drove a 2002 as a loaner that sounded similar. I mentioned it to the dealers rep when I returned it and got a call later to let me know what their mechanics found.
I love my new(4k mi) 2004 Gmc Yukon Denali. It does, however, make some weird noise while I'm driving at around 20 and around 40 mph. Not under full accel, but when I'm coasting or lightly accelerating. Just took delivery on a 2004 GMC Yukon XL 3/4 ton with wheel flares and factory running boards. Dealer says GM does not make molded mud guards for this truck. Does anyone know of a vendor that makes molded flaps for this truck??

Today I went to the GMC dealer to find out the best price I could get on a 2003 Yukon XL. I was able to get the price down to $275 below invoice + tax. We bought at ONeill GMC on Street Road in Warminster. For others looking at the Yukon XL, we bought the 1SD package w/o sunroof a few weeks ago, and I continue to be impressed with the drivability and road manners of such a large vehicle.
