2002 GMC Yukon SLE 4WD 4dr SUV (4.8L 8cyl 4A)

Review

my husband and i are looking to save
money on gas. Everything about this SUV
has been wonderful. I did give it a 9
in fuel economy only because it's what
we expected when we bought a V8 SUV.
This car run smoothly, handles
accurately and have been a wonderful
car for the last 2 years.

Best Features

comfy, leather seats

Worst Features

none

2002 GMC Yukon SLE 2WD 4dr SUV (4.8L 8cyl 4A)

Review

I bought a used Yukon (certified). Best
vehicle I have ever owned. Great
engine, but it sucks gas if you dont
use it properly by constantly being
impressed by the sudden influence of
power. The captains chairs in the front
are very comfortable. Music radio okay.
I was very worred about the 2WD feature
since I was trading a 4wd vehicle. The
stability control is acceptable on this
vehicle and the vehicle is heavy enough
to provide enough traction on snow
covered roads and heavy side street
snow. Very impressive. It doesnt snow
that much in Dayton so it will be
hardly missed. better gas mpg than the
4wd i am sure.

Best Features

Engine !!!! Nice quiet ride as well.

Worst Features

Gas mileage very poor but thats expected in todays big SUV market

2002 GMC Yukon SLE 2WD 4dr SUV (4.8L 8cyl 4A)

Review

Outstanding, solid vehicle. 19 MPG on
the highway was a nice surprise as well
for a vehicle this weight and size.

Best Features

Design, seating comfort (except access to 3rd row), acceleration and paint job seems above average. The quiet ride and solid feel is far superior to Ford's Expedition.

Worst Features

Easier access to 3rd row by design change of middle bench mechanism. Add an inside handle at front door interior to the driver's side for short drivers. Clips securing the large speakers in the front doors need improvement.

2002 GMC Yukon SLE 2WD 4dr SUV (4.8L 8cyl 4A)

Review

Great vehicle to drive and ride. Even
the little wife likes to drive and
loves to ride. Easy to see out all
around. Turns and parks well for a
large SUV.

Best Features

Heated seats, easy to turn and park, nice side mirrors. Leather seats are very nice and hold up well.

Worst Features

Would like to see a one touch on sunroof to close instead of holding down till closed. Side panels in front doors is not wide enough to hold a can and tuff to clean out. Need more storage space or cubby holes to put STUFF in in rear.

2002 GMC Yukon SLE 4WD 4dr SUV (4.8L 8cyl 4A)

Review

The Yukon has alot of good qualities,
Handeling ride,power(5.3), appearance.
It does however, need serious
attention in some areas, Drive
train "Clunks" shifting 2/3(see GMC
tech Memo), Engine "Knocks" on cold
starts (see GMC Tech Memo). Sadly GMC
proudly considered these NORMAL.
Customer Service is really Non-
Existent (Although Polite)

Best Features

Seat Comfort, Cornering, Visibility, Interior Space, Ride.

Worst Features

Get rid of Clunk/Knock philosophy as "Normal" for GMC, Repair it! Customer Service, not a loop back to the Dealer.
