I have a 2001 GMC Yukon 4x4 that needs the rearend replaced. I am considering removing the existing rearend and installing a rearend from either a 1999 or 2004 GMC Denali, which have the same gear ratio and same 8-1/2" ring gear size. Are either of these rearends compatible with the 2001 Yukon rearend?

Your wheel speed sensors need to be cleaned. It is a pretty simple repair by the dealer but time consuming. The dealers don't seem to like making the repair though. I found out It was a recall on some of the vehicles but not the Yukon. It costs about $500. I paid for the repair and then wrote a complaint letter to my dealer. The service mgr at the dealer was ...
