2011 GMC Yukon Hybrid Denali 4dr SUV 4WD (6.0L 8cyl gas/electric hybrid 4A)

Review

There are lots of things I really love about this truck but also many things that leave you scratching your head. This truck really only seats 5 adults. The third row is totally unusable for adults. And the second row is really only for shorter people. Not having a spare tire is very scary.

This thing tows great- No issues towing 9,000 lbs and you really can't even notice you are towing.

Hybrid system does not work logically (always kicks off at 12 mph so very little benefit to it at the stop light.)

Overall, I love this truck but it's exaggerated fuel efficiency, illogical third row of seats, lack of a spare tire (and place to mount a spare tire, almost makes this a no go.

Best Features

Drives like a truck should. Upholstery, dash, etc very nice. 4x4 works great. Drive quality excellent. Quiet.

Worst Features

Highway MPG is horrible. Flat ground, no AC, No Heat, etc and I get 18-19 mpg. City driving is closer to 20 mpg with no AC/Heat. Cylinder deactivation is horrible. Anything over 50 mph and it almost never enters 4 cyl mode and doesn't stay in it long even on flat roads. Hard to keep this in all electric over 12 mph. Hybrid battery doesn't charge if 12 V battery is low (or bad.) No Spare Tire. On board fuel efficiency calculation/display is always off by several mpg. Says 24 mpg when I really get 19. Poor leg room in middle row. Third row of seats is an unusable for anyone over 3' tall On-board Navigation is abysmal. Infotainment system UI is a joke.
