just to give you some imfo if yours had vacuum activated hubs, i was going by the imfo you gave me wind you say you did not know if your 4wheel drive was working, there are a lot of cars out now with this vacuum added in now well good luck and your well come.

i think you are talking about the lite on the dash that will lite wind you shifed in to 4wheel drive if you have a shifter on floor your 4wheel drive will still work you just dont have lite to let you know that it is working, if you have stick in floor to ingage your 4wheel drive and it do not work thats mechanical unless yours also have vacuum activated ... I have a 93 with 246,000 and just now developed a transmission problem. It just happen yesterday, when I left for work the truck would do 50 mph however the rpm was 3k. I'll drain & flush the transmission this weekend & change the filter and inspect the TDV cable.
I have owned my 1995 Suburban its whole life. Its got 160,000 miles and runs great. The master cylinder has a small leak and the A/C is weak, other than that no sign of any problems. I have changed the oil every 3000 miles along with other regular maintanance. How long can I expect the Transmission and engine to last? I am trying to decide if I should sell it now ... Read More
