Hi Guys...I have a 2000 GMC sonoma 4cyl.auto flex fuel truck and i keep getting 2 codes Po179 and one for transmission slippage but after reading it all points to the flex fuel sensor located on the chassis under the ac unit on the passenger side ......my question is can i change some stuff to get this back to just a regular gas vehicle and what would it take to do this ... headlights dont turn on

i have a 2000 gmc sonoma and my headlights dont turn on at night and sometimes during the day. i checked fuses, ground, switch and relay is good. the bulbs are good. what gets me is when i have the problem the two wires at the plug for the bulb are throwing 12v positive.any body can help it would be appreciated. thanks Read More...

I recently bought a 2000 GMC sonoma 2.2 with an auto. After driving on the highway for 20 miles or so, when I get in town the transmission shifts really hard from 1st to 2nd. almost forgot, MIL kicks on sometimes when it hesitates, codes is a po452 evap emissions, and when it gets bad i get a bunch of codes like tp sensor and map sensor, which i have already replaced both of those too..... Read More...

ive been dealing with this problem for months now...replaced almost everything...fuel pump, spider injector(which was conversion to multiport), fuel filter, aif filter, spark plugs(twice) spark wires, distributo cap and rotor as well as distributor itself, alternator, battery, ignition coil, map sensor, catalytic convertor, but the truck still wants ... hey i have a 2000 GMC sonoma and everytime I drive it. The temperature guage is spiking up into the 260 range? once I stopped and popped the hood i could smell anti-freeze and heard a sizzling sound. I have a 2000 gmc sonoma pick up. At times it will not start. I get absolutly nothing. No click, no lights, no sounds, nothing. It won't start with a jump, still nothing. I have a new battery and starter. But, if I disconnect the positive battery cable from the battery and then reconnect it, it stars right up everytime. Any ideas? Read More...
