This truck has about 108000 miles, Truck Jumps and shuts off (at stop sign) The brake pedal feels "hard" I even hear the tire screech like its stuck. I have a 1998 gmc sonoma and i have the option to override the dome lights in my truck but my dome lights will not turn on or work period. When the door is opened or when I turn the switch to turn them on, they do not work...What could be the problem? Hello i have a 1998 Gmc sonoma, 4wd 4.3 liter, the clicking is kinda coming from under the front of the truck..I was reading about it and a forum said that it could be the oil.In th transfer case. Does anyone know if thats the case? and if so where is the transfer case( i think i know just making sure) and how easy is it to change? it only does it when i accelerate hard...And ... Read More...

HEY I WAS JUST WOUNDERING IF YOU FOUND OUT THE PROBLEM WITH YOUR SONOMA BECAUSE MY 1998 S-10 DOES THE SAME THING AND IVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT FOR AT LEAST A YEAR NOW. I searched and searched and could not find an answer to this. Where is the a/c condensation drain hose on a 1998 GMC extended cab Sonoma? I am getting water in the cab on the passenger side, coming down from the firewall when the a/c is running and after it is shut off. 1998 GMC Sonoma, runs fine for a while (30 minutes or so). Then the volt gage begins to "twitch", it drops below 14 amps, and pulsates with the turn signals. After 30 seconds or so, it then drops to 12 amps maybe 11 amps, and the truck then dies. When driving, it is not unusual to watch the volt gauge begin to pulsate and drop till the truck dies. I have a 1998 Sonoma with 2.2 4 cyl. 5speed trans. The problem I have is that it will not always start when the key is turned on. All the lights come on, and has power. i too have a fuel pump problem, if i tap the gas tank the pump runs again. i have also other things that act up so i think that the pcm may be at fault as the truck was a victim of a front end accident. my wipers don't run wight, the seat belt lite flashes, starting is low at times,trans jerks into gear, the truck only has 190k and i am very distressed with this as i don't think ...
