Well, I got a replacement front differential actuator, and it appears to have solved the problem. The front wheels now engage. I had to splice in the old harness, as the replacement had a different configuration, but otherwise a simple and quick fix. Read More...

I've got an 04' Sierra 4x4. Here's my problem. Sometimes upon starting the truck the lights on the dash for the push button 4-wheel drive will say it's in 4-low. It's not. It also won't switch out of the faulty light by pushing the other 2-hi or 4-hi buttons. Sometimes when it says it's in 4-lo, it will actually drive in the 4-lo gear range but it won't be in 4-wheel drive. ... Read More...

Is the chirp coming from the tires or the suspension components? If it's tires, maybe the tires are getting "air" and chirp when hitting the pavement over those bumps. I don't know. Just offering suggestions. You have zirk fittings on the 1500 other than the steering linkage? Read More...
