I have the same problem with the stalling at a stop and low idle. It idles at around 400rpm when warm. It runs fine when cold. When I go from 15 mph to a stop it will stall about 50% of the time. The other times it will recover after the tach drops to almost "0". I have a 2001 Sierra 1500 with the 5.3 V8. I have done all of the following and the truck has shown no change in behavior. ... There is a check valve in the fuel line. If the valve fails, it allows gas to drain back to the tank. If that's the case it would be hard starting till the fuel pump can pressurize the gas in the line. Usually takes up to 10 seconds. Hey fellas, don't no if any of you can help but here's the problem. My 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 4.3 L has a hard time starting after it has been sitting for a day for two. The first few times I noticed it I thought the battery was dying. It would take 3 - 4 tries to get the engine to turn over. I've checked the spark, its good. Have a 2001 GMC Sierra 1500,5.3L with 144k miles. Recently developed hard starting problem. No trouble codes present.Cranks with no start until 3rd attempt. Probably would start with one attempt if I didn't let up on starter. Prefer 3 short attempts to avoid damaging starter. Occurs after shutdown of approx 5 minutes or overnight. Obyone: I was searching for a site to read the TSB summaries. The TSB codes on the list are not recognized on the NHSTA site. When I search for the Denali, the NHSTA site only recognizes the Sierra 1500 and does not identify the Denali. Any suggestions, please? I am not sure its the front rotors and calipers ...are a problem.. but rather the symptom. I have put new rear calipers from SSBC on my 2003 GMC Sierra, not sure it matters what type, but rather the rear calipers are swapped for something that works. I also added brake SS-lines.
