Found a few leftover 07 recently and dealer quotes were $500-1000 above invoice. Haven't really followed up since the rebates are still $2000 for 08s and $3000 for 07s. GM card rebate is still $1500. Alright here's the scoop. All chevy's with factory nav have the Bose System from the factory and that is factory amplified sound system. The reason the sound is not very loud is you are missing the amplifier that is normally amping up the outputs from the nav unit. So what your dealership is saying is that you need to buy the nav from GMC directly or actually any GM dealership and they will do the install? There is a security system that is tied into the radio and I would believe that the ECU would probably have to be reprogrammed so that the truck knows the stock unit was replaced with the nav unit.
