    I have a 2004 gmc sierra 1500. My problem is that the left rear brake light and turn signal wire is not working anymore to my trailer.(The yellow wire) I can't trace it far enough back to see were it is comming from. I've changed the fuses and that dosen't seem to be the problem. Any suggestions. Thanks

    Well, I got a replacement front differential actuator, and it appears to have solved the problem. The front wheels now engage. I had to splice in the old harness, as the replacement had a different configuration, but otherwise a simple and quick fix.

    I have a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500. At about 40,000 miles my amp guage quit. At about 48,000 miles my gas gauge quit working and now stays on "E" with gas light on. I have been told to replace the cluster. Could you please tell me if I could fix the cluster myself? If not tell me what replacing it involves, and what are my options on a new purchase?

    Is the chirp coming from the tires or the suspension components? If it's tires, maybe the tires are getting "air" and chirp when hitting the pavement over those bumps. I don't know. Just offering suggestions. You have zirk fittings on the 1500 other than the steering linkage?

I really enjoy my truck but have noticed that the door handles, mirrors, tailgate handle, black trim on rear bumper and the grill have all started to "weather" and look several years older than the rest of the truck. These surfaces are unpainted. Is there any long term cure besides painting these pieces to keep them looking good?

    I Have a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 shortbed with a 4.3L engine and about 15 miles on the truck. I drive 35 miles one way to work, mostly interstate. I am only getting a little better than 16 miles per gallon on the highway. I took it to the dealer for a chek-up, but was told thiat it was ok.
